嗟我优游夫，何由可入圣。本原在独知，工夫须主敬。

王以悟，字惺所。河南陕县东凡人。明代万历三十二年（公元1604年）中进士，任邢台令。邢台遭荒灾，他上报朝廷求援，设粥棚、置棉衣，救济贫民。他亲自检查救灾事项，还用自己俸禄，赎回穷人卖掉的妻室儿女。天启元年（公元1622年），他调任山西参政，单车就道，行李简陋。后辞官回乡，隐居不仕，专门从事办学。他与张抱初、张春宇，吕豫石等文人学士培育了众多学生。他还著有《常惺惺稿》10卷，《解缚编》2卷。他教授学生著书立说，去世后，在陕州城内建有祠堂。
