陈荐（1545年～1632年） 字君庸，号楚石，明湖广祁阳县咸菜塘（今属祁东县）人。隆庆丁卯（1567年）乡试中举，辛未（1571年）登进士第，历任松江法官、监察御史、陕西及四川按察使、云南巡抚，旋迁吏、刑、户部尚书，兼理河道漕运。为官50余年，洁己奉公，关心家乡百姓疾苦，曾疏请改折漕粮，均平排山驿马。后退居林下，杜门谢客，著《古今衷辨》百余卷，寿八十余。
