（1797—1871）湖北监利人，字子寿。道光二十四年进士，授刑部主事。旋乞归。专事讲学。生平博涉经史，肆力诗古文辞，不喜章句考据，自负有经世之略，文集所收书札，与曾国藩、左宗棠等论兵事者，为数颇多。有《枢言》、《导江议》、《子寿诗钞》等，总为《百柱堂全集》。
