君不见雍门周，苦调能使田文忧。又不见商陵牧，别鹤凄凉不成曲。
伯牙之琴出成连，古意妙契羲皇前。山中净扫苍苔石，坐倚松风调素弦。
大弦声迟小弦急，虬龙起舞鹓鸾集。长河澒洞泻出悬崖颠，高山万丈峨峨倚天立。
舜文不作识者稀，赏音惟有钟子期。一曲未终白日暮，适意忘形归去迟。
我思古人不易得，耻共今人听筝笛。囊中亦有伯牙琴，不遇知音空太息。

明景泰二年（1451）状元及第，历任翰林院修撰，右春坊、右中允、詹事府少詹事兼翰林学士掌院事。奉命主持两京乡试一科、礼部会试二科，任东宫讲官、侍经筵等职。柯潜作品 所为文章、平妥整洁，诗律清婉。潜著有《竹岩集》一卷，文集一卷，及补遗一卷，均收录于《四库全书》，其诗冲澹清婉，文亦峻整有法。
