嗟我村民居瘠土，生计强半在农圃；连阡种莳因地宜，甘蔗之利敌黍稌。
年来旱魃狠为灾，自春徂冬暵不雨；晨昏抱瓮争灌畦，辛勤救蔗如救父。
救得一蔗值一文，家家喜色见眉宇。岂料悍卒百十群，嗜甘不恤他人苦。
拔剑砍蔗如刈草，主人有言更触怒；翻加谗蔑恣株连，拘系搒掠命如缕。
主将重违士卒心，豢而纵之示鼓舞；仍劝村民绝祸根，尔不莳蔗彼安取！
百姓忍饥兵自静，此法简便良可诩；因笑古人拙治军，秋毫不犯何其腐！

卢若腾，又字海运，号牧洲；文号留庵。明末清初福建同安县金门贤厝人。1598年（明神宗万历廿八年）出生，1640年（明崇祯庚辰十三年）与潘湖黄锡衮同榜进士，授兵部主事，升郎中。尝官浙江布政使左参议，分司宁绍巡海道。驻宁波，兴利除弊，遣爱在民，有“卢菩萨”之称。他支持郑成功收复台湾并于1664年赴台投郑，至澎湖突然病重而卒。著有《留庵文集》、《方舆互考》、《岛噫诗》、《与耕堂随笔》、《岛居随录》等。
