慧晖（一○九七～一一八三），号自得，俗姓张，会稽上虞（今浙江上虞东南）人。幼依澄照、道凝，年十二出家。年二十扣真歇禅师于长芦。返里谒宏智禅师。高宗绍兴七年（一一三七），开法补陀寺，徙万寿寺、吉祥寺、雪窦寺。孝宗淳熙三年（一一七六），敕补临安府净慈寺。七年，退归雪窦寺。十年卒，年八十七。为青原下十四世，天童正觉禅师法嗣。有宋了广编《自得慧晖禅师语录》六卷，收入《续藏经》。《嘉泰普灯录》卷一三、《五灯会元》卷一四有传。 慧晖诗，以辑自《语录》者编为一卷，辑自他书者附于卷末。
