（1018—1092）福州侯官人，字闳中。性淳谨好学，门人千数。与陈襄、陈烈、周希孟为友，号四先生。仁宗皇祐五年进士。为寿安主簿。神宗熙宁中，召为岐王侍讲。元丰中，出知越州。哲宗元祐初，召拜国子祭酒，除宝文阁待制。请老归，太学生数千人请留，至空学相送。
