宋严州淳安人，字君玉。方逢辰弟。理宗景定三年进士。历国史实录院检阅文字，迁太府寺簿。宋亡，退隐于家。元世祖诏起为淮西北道按察佥事，辞不赴。聚徒讲学于石峡书院，学者称“山房先生”，以之配祀于蛟峰。有《山房集》。
