著书阐坟典，文义无蹈袭。乡邦识楷范，后进劳引汲。
能使绮纨子，森然如响翕。岂徒富文学，自是高品级。
下视饕餮徒，何翅相百十。古人不可作，流风振原隰。
愧我后知人，徒然负书笈。登堂颜欲汗，端拱还趋揖。
虚位满尘埃，户牖莓苔涩。陋巷谅不改，行者为迫急。

真定府藁城人，字邦彦，号熊峰。成化二十三年与兄石玠同举进士。与修《大明会典》。累擢为礼部尚书兼学士掌詹事府事。授检讨。嘉靖三年以吏部尚书兼文渊阁大学士，直内阁。守己鲠狷，持论坚确，进退凛然。辞归时襆被一车而已，都人叹其廉洁。所作诗淹雅清峭，讽谕婉约，有词人之风。有《熊峰集》、《恒阳集》。
