译文
无论穿著什么样的衣裳，都比不上柔软绿草织成的蓑衣，它跟斜倚篷船吟诗垂钓的生活，实在是最最相宜。
夏日在清凉的芦苇影中，和衣睡在迷离的暮烟里，又在幽雅的荷花香气中，绵绵细雨下披着我的蓑衣。
春天在酒家痛饮，狂醉后才将蓑衣脱下去，当黄昏雨过天晴，就把它随便堆放在渔舍里。
尽管紫色绶带黄金印章极其尊贵，我也不肯轻易拿蓑衣去换取。
注释
莎衣：即蓑衣，以蓑草编织成的御雨衣披。
软绿柔蓝：绿色柔软的。著：穿。胜衣：即蓑衣。
正相宜：合适，十分自然。
蒹葭（jiān jiā）：芦苇。
菡萏（hàn dàn）：荷花。
狂脱：狂醉。
乱堆：随便堆放。晚晴：傍晚雨后初晴。
饶：任凭。紫绶（shòu）金章：紫色绶带，黄金印章，指高级官员的服饰。绶，系印环的丝带。
博换：交换。伊：第三人称，指莎衣，亦即指隐居生活。

莎衣创作背景
杨朴淡泊名利，终生不仕，他的同学毕士安向宋太宗推荐他，于是他便赋《莎衣》辞归。

莎衣鉴赏
这首诗除尾联两句抒情言志以外，其余六句都是咏蓑衣的。首联写渔人爱蓑衣。颔联写渔人披蓑衣。颈联写渔人脱蓑衣。
蓑衣虽然是用草和绳子编缀而成的，但是在渔人的眼里，它是色彩鲜明、质地轻柔的，穿着它是胜过衣服的。穿上它，倚在船上钓鱼是非常合适惬意的。吟诗是诗人的事，钓鱼是渔人的事，既钓鱼又吟诗，就不是一般的渔翁，而是闲居江湖的高雅之士的行为了。诗人爱蓑衣，正是他喜爱浪迹江湖，不与污浊庸俗的官场往来的思想情感的流露。这两句为全诗定下了基调，表现了淡泊清高的情韵。
颔联叙渔人披蓑衣。这两句意思是：在那芦苇的婆娑影子里，在那浮动的水气中，披着蓑衣卧在渔船之上；在那如盖的莲叶影里，在那清幽的荷香中间，披着蓑衣御着雨。这一联写得有意境，波光潋滟，烟霭迷蒙，苇影参差，莲叶滴翠，荷花吐香，加上雨洒做面，如溅珠进玉，此间一叶扁舟，舟上卧着披了蓑衣的渔人，这景象充满了诗情画意。诗人描绘这么一幅渔人乐趣图，是对渔人无优无虑生活的赞颂，也是对“不知有汉，无论魏晋”的世外桃源的向往。诗人之所以要叙写渔人披蓑衣的情景，就在于借此表现一个桃花源式的理想天地。因此这里的景愈美，也就显得人愈雅，从而对比了现实社会中官场的混浊，披上蓑衣，就能超然尘外，就可归返自然，诗人对蓑衣是非常喜爱的。
颈联写醉后和晴时脱蓑衣，在两种情况下脱下蓑衣：一是在好客的酒家开怀畅饮、醉意朦胧之后，狂放自在，抛开了蓑衣；一是在晚霞满天，收棹拢岸之后，把蓑衣脱下来，随手堆放在渔舍里。这显然是对无拘无束、怡然自乐的渔人生活的讴歌。
以上三联都集中笔墨于写蓑衣。首联系总起，二三两联分写，一写“披”，一写“脱”。“披妙时风景如画，“脱”时神情活现。写“披”，景是动，人是静;写“脱”，景是静，人是动。一“披”一“脱”，两相对照，把诗人对这种渔人生活的由衷深爱披沥无遗。
尾联画龙点睛，揭示主旨：任凭你紫绶金章有多高贵，我是不会轻易把我的蓑衣换你的官场礼服的。“莎衣”也就有了象征意义。“富贵非吾愿”，衣锦而招摇过市那是沐猴而冠。穿上莎衣“遁世以保真”，“渔歌入浦深”；“白云依静渚”，“万事不关心”。诗人面对宋太宗而拒绝受官，正和他不愿将蓑衣换官服的思想行为是相一致的，由此可见其思想情操。这就表明，这首《莎衣》，不是一般的咏物诗，而是一首咏物言志诗。
这首诗表现了诗人视官爵如敝屣的思想，由于要和“紫缓金章妙对举，因而诗人改变了自楚辞《渔父》以来一贯咏渔翁的写法，不着力于“人”而专意于“衣”，从而构成“换”的关系，构思新巧。在前三联极写蓑衣的基础上，笔锋一转，泻出正题，是点峭传神之笔，足有千钧万解之力。
