鼓鼙悲绝漠，烽戍隔长河。莫断阴山路，天骄已请和。

译文
军中大旗猎猎作响，汉家大将将要挥师出征；看他横刀立马，气吞万里如虎。关塞悠远，春风难以企及，未到关前，就已经看不到春色了；关外，风卷沙尘，黄沙弥漫如云，遮天蔽日。军中鼓声，悲壮激越，直达遥远的沙漠；戍台烽火，阻隔着浩荡的黄河。想到将军所去之地，在那阴山之北；慑于将军声威，入侵的强敌已经求和。
注释
定州：州治在今河北定县。
双旌：仪仗用的旌旗。汉飞将：指李广。
鼙：军中所用小鼓。悲：形容鼓声紧急，有酣畅之意。绝漠：遥远的沙漠之地。
长河：黄河。
天骄：原意指匈奴，此处泛指强敌。
送李将军赴定州鉴赏
此诗载于《全唐诗》卷二百四十八，一作《送彭将军》。诗当作于作者任左拾遗时。当时朝中大臣自宰相以下，出牧奉使，必有钱郎二人饯行诗作，名重京畿。其格律为平起式首句不入韵格，用下平声五歌韵。中二联对仗自然。首句三拗四救，平仄规范。
此诗风格近盛唐边塞诗。定州，在今河北。首联发端，把李将军比作汉飞将军李广。“万里独横戈”，评价甚高。“春色临关尽，黄云出塞多”。颔联写戍边环境的艰辛。出句隐括《凉州词》“春风不度玉门关”。黄云，沙尘暴，极言边塞荒凉。王维“黄云断春色”、李颀“黄云雁门郡，日暮风沙里”、王昌龄“蓟门秋月隐黄云”、岑参“秋风万里动，日暮黄云高”、高适“古树满空塞，黄云愁杀人”。“鼓鼙悲绝漠，烽戍隔长河”。颈联写军旅的豪壮。鼓鼙，一作鼙鼓，军鼓。悲绝漠，使动用法，使绝漠悲，意为敌军闻风丧胆。对句流水，由于军威震慑，敌人入侵的烽火在黄河以北就隔断了。这两句是对出征后的祝愿，非实景。尾联劝诫，意思是不要赶尽杀绝。阴山路，敌人的退路。故兵法，围城三面，留一面让敌人逃跑，避免死战。只要打胜了，敌人要求和谈就可以了。

郎士元 唐代诗人。字君胄。中山（今河北定县）人。生卒年不详。天宝十五载(756)登进士第。安史之乱中，避难江南。宝应元年(762)补渭南尉，历任拾遗、补阙、校书等职，官至郢州刺史。 郎士元与钱起齐名，世称"钱郎"。他们诗名甚盛，当时有"前有沈宋，后有钱郎"(高仲武《中兴间气集》)之说。
