我本来就没有放弃俗世，但世人却抛弃了我。
一乘上无尽头的航程，就远纵八极无法回头。
燕客蔡泽极尽荣华，唐举这小子还敢讥笑？
采撷龙下颌的明珠时别把龙惊醒了，可暗暗让其归顺大道而不自知。
故乡的山岭有古松明月，等待你一起玩赏清晖。
注释
蔡山人，名字不详，高适集中也有《送蔡山人》一诗，当为同一人。此诗从内容看，当为李白于天宝三、四载间初出朝时所作。
倪：边际。无倪即无边际。
八极：八极:最边远之处。《淮南子·地形》:“八绘之外，乃有八极”
燕客两句出自《史记-范帷蔡泽列传补》，蔡泽燕国人，游学于诸侯小大甚众，不遇。唐举曰：‘先生之寿。从今以往者四十三岁。”蔡泽笑谢而去，谓其御者曰：悟持粱刺齿肥，跃马疾驱。怀黄金之印，结紫缓于要，揖让人主之前，食肉富贵，四十三年足矣。”

送蔡山人创作背景
天宝三载（744年），李白被唐玄宗赐金放还，由于仕途不顺，李白周游各地。《送蔡山人》就是写于这个时期，诗借送别朋友抒发自己怀才不遇，郁郁不得志的情怀。

送蔡山人鉴赏
前两句说明自己本意并不想弃世，是积极想融入这个社会的，但却被无情的社会抛弃。有李白“抽刀断水水更流，举杯浇愁愁更愁”的诗味。
第三、四两句叙说了自己一旦放下世俗，获得自由，天宽地阔无人能管制，很有点天高任鸟飞，海阔凭鱼跃。
第五、六句用典，借燕人蔡泽早年不得志，但仍不放弃，最终大器晚成的故事来勉励自己。
第七、八句运用哲学思想，说明不惊动猎物的猎人才是好猎人，一个好的樵夫不会随意毁坏乔木。
最后两句说出归隐乡间呼朋唤友，与志同道合者聚集一起也是一种乐趣。
名家认为“潦倒”一词用在李白身上是恰当的，而《送蔡山人》这诗正是李白在其仕途路上所遭遇的不幸的写照。李白金门传诏，但是在担任供奉翰林后，他与李林甫针锋相对，毫不相让：“戏万乘若僚友，视俦列如草芥”（苏轼《李太白碑阴记》）。他深深憎恶“群沙秽明珠，众草凌芳孤”的黑暗现实，对横行跋扈的权贵和趋炎附势的小人强烈愤慨“奸臣欲窃位，树党自相群”。把批判的矛头直指天子，“殷后乱天纪，楚怀亦己昏。”他决心披肝沥胆，直谏天子，横批逆鳞。提出十条勤政务本的建议，李隆基不悦，李白被“出宫思过”。他悲愤彷徨，过分高估天子的爱才之心，低估奸臣的诽谤中伤。这条理想道路竟然如此泥泞难行，“停杯投箸不能食，拔剑四顾心茫然。欲渡黄河冰塞川，将登太行雪满山。……行路难！行路难！多歧路，今安在？”（《行路难》之一）。结构的巨大跳跃，突兀奇来、不可端倪的诗句间激荡着李白矛盾的内心，他靠诗歌排解郁结胸中的不平之气。他日渐消极，“且乐生前一杯酒，何须身后千载名”（《行路难》之三），怀着无限惆怅失落和郁闷难抑的苦楚，经历了一个漫长的冬天的等待，天宝三年春，李白傲然请辞离开长安！“赐金放返”后的李白，悲愤不平，“我本不弃世，世人自弃我”（《赠蔡山人》）。他借酒消愁，“人生得意须尽欢，莫使金樽空对月！……烹羊宰牛且为乐，会须一饮三百杯”，他一直相信，“天生我材必有用，千金散尽还复来。”在永王再三恭请下，李白从军李璘幕府。他以为自己从此走上从军报国之路，踌躇满志地为李璘出谋划策。“川北虏乱如麻，四海南奔似永嘉。但用东山谢安石，为君谈笑静胡沙”（《永王东巡歌》其二）。以至于后来他落得个“长流夜郎”的下场。“月既不解饮，影徒随我身。暂伴月将影，行乐须及春。”这句诗便是描写李白被赐金放还时其内心的孤独与寂寞，即“尔时情景虽复潦倒”。
回到《送蔡山人》“我本不弃世，世人自弃我”这是李白对世俗的看法，认为自己主观还是积极的，而消极的世道容不下李白本身。李白出长安，游走四方，一句无倪舟，一句纵远舵，道出了游走四方的迷茫，天下之大，何处是我李白的容身之所？燕客期跃马这句笔锋这转，又回到了我本不弃世，这哪是我李白不想干一番事业，我也想像蔡泽一样干出一番惊天动地的事业，那怕我的年纪也像蔡泽一样不在年轻。唐生安敢讥又承接了前句世人自弃我，那些笑我，嘲我，讥我，讽我的人安能如此？为什么自己落到如此境地？自己现在的默默无闻，并不是自己的才能问题，而自己只是一个高明的猎手或是好的樵夫那样，不惊动自己的猎物，不毁损乔木罢了。一时的失意我并不放在心上，我可以回到乡间与朋友到处游玩，等待着时机。因为李白所选定的人生道路，在当时的情况下，是注定要以寂寞与潦倒为伴的，所以除了自己，他是没有人可以依靠的。这也是他之所以在一生中最崇拜的鲁仲连这种独往独来的英雄的原因所在吧。因此他要说“我本不弃世，世人自弃我”，所以他只能引蔡泽这样的暮年英雄为自己一生的知己。与山间的松月为友，自然而然地暗示当时世态炎凉与人情冷暖，可以想象李白当初在长安待诏翰林任上，他人对其如此奉承殷勤，可是离开京城、身陷囹圄之际，却饱尝了世态炎凉。但是，透过期跃马，勿惊龙，人们可以清楚地感到，李白仍然是历尽挫折，初衷不改。这种乐观主义精神还是十分令人佩服的。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
