好风碎竹声如雪。昭华三弄临风咽。鬓丝撩乱纶巾折。凉满北窗，休共软红说。
醉落魄·栖乌飞绝鉴赏
乌鸦已归林栖息，不再飞翔。天河笼罩着淡绿色的雾霭，透过它，可以看见时隐时显，若有若无的星光。绛河，即天河。古人观星象以北极星为标准，天河在南，南之代表色为丹、为绛，所以天河又叫绛河（见明王逵《蠡海集·天文类》）。此时，正好点燃香炉，展开竹席，卧于清荫之下。簟（diàn），竹席。樾（yuè），成荫的树木。“花影吹笙”，是在花影下吹笙的省文。“杏花疏影里，吹笛到天明”（陈与义《临江仙》）音乐与淡黄月色，扶疏花影互相映衬，越显得空灵剔透。
近代词评家俞陛云激赏此句并以近人鸥堂词“月要被它，愁着酒般黄”比较，认为没有“花影”两句融浑（《唐五代两宋词选释》）。
下片即接写笙声，如好风碎竹，雪清玉脆。昭华，古乐器名，即玉管。传说秦咸阳宫有玉管，长二尺三寸，二十六孔，上面刻有“昭华之琯”，此指笙。“弄”，有两层意思，一指奏乐，又指一曲为一弄。咽，谓箫声幽咽，如泣如诉。“凉满北窗”呼应“临风”，故鬓丝撩乱，纶巾吹折。软红，即红尘，如此良夜，如此风情，那些碌碌奔走于红尘之人，是不能够理解、不会欣赏的。
清代词评家宋翔凤认为“此词正咏吹笙也。上解（片）从夜中情景点出吹笙。下解‘好风碎竹声如雪’，写笙声也。‘昭华三弄临风咽’，吹已止也。‘鬓丝撩乱’，言执笙而吹者，其竹参差，时时侵鬓也。如吹时风来则‘纶巾折’，知‘凉满北窗’也。”（《乐府余论》）正所谓“草灰蛇线”，脉络分明。

范成大（1126-1193），字致能，号称石湖居士。汉族，平江吴县（今江苏苏州）人。南宋诗人。谥文穆。从江西派入手，后学习中、晚唐诗，继承了白居易、王建、张籍等诗人新乐府的现实主义精神，终于自成一家。风格平易浅显、清新妩媚。诗题材广泛，以反映农村社会生活内容的作品成就最高。他与杨万里、陆游、尤袤合称南宋“中兴四大诗人”。
