湘妃危立冻蛟脊，海月冷挂珊瑚枝。
丑怪惊人能妩媚，断魂只有晓寒知。
百千年藓著枯树，三两点春供老枝。
绝壁笛声那得到，只愁斜日冻蜂知。
古梅二首鉴赏
宋人赏梅至南宋始盛，并逐渐形成了“梅以韵胜，以格高，故以横斜疏瘦与老枝奇怪为贵”(范成大《梅谱·后序》)的审美情趣。这两首诗所写的就是老枝奇怪，疏花几点的古梅形象，与林逋笔下的清幽疏秀有所不同。作者有意识地突显梅花的老瘦、枯淡、奇怪、冷峭、孤独以表现其超尘脱俗而又不乏几分孤独凄凉之意的“清高”品质，带有几分“以丑为美”的味道。陈衍评第一首道：“梅花诗之工致，此可叹观止，非和靖所想到矣。”(《宋诗精华录》卷三)从另一个方面，又有人对这种苦硬的写法提出批评，清潘德舆《养一斋诗话》卷五：“宋人肖德藻梅诗，有‘江妃危立冻蛟背，海月冷挂珊瑚枝’，看似崛强，实与‘雪满山中高士卧，月明林下美人来’(按：明人高启诗句)，一太熟，一太生，同是诗家左道。凡学诗者，入手即辟此二种，方有根基可望，勿认肖君二语胜于季迪(按：高启的字)也。”

萧德藻，南宋诗人。字东夫，自号千岩老人。闽清（今属福建）人。生卒年不详。绍兴二十一年(1151)进士。初任尤川县丞，后为湖北参议，再调湖州乌程令。因爱当地山水之美，遂移家乌程，住县中屏山，其地有千岩之胜，所以自号“千岩老人”，表示归隐不仕。
