译文
卖花翁摘下一丛新鲜的花朵，担入了许府和史府。
东风吹来，不见百花绽放，寂寥空空，心中失落无比，只知百花闭锁进豪门深府。

卖花翁创作背景
赏花、买花以至养花，本出于人们爱美的天性。但在旧社会劳动人民衣不蔽体、食不果腹的情况下，耽玩花朵又往往形成富贵人家的特殊嗜好。唐代长安城就盛行着这样的风气。吴融的这首《卖花翁》，触及同样的题材，却能够不蹈袭前人窠臼，自出手眼，别立新意。

卖花翁鉴赏
这一联交代卖花翁把花送入贵家的事实。和烟和露，形容花刚采摘下来时缀着露珠、冒着水气的样子，极言其新鲜可爱。许氏与史氏，汉宣帝时的外戚。“许”指宣帝许皇后家，“史”指宣帝祖母史良娣家，两家都在宣帝时受封列侯，贵显当世，所以后人常用来借指豪门势家。诗中指明他们住在宫城以内，当是最有势力的皇亲国戚。
这后一联抒发作者的感慨。东风送暖，大地春回，鲜花开放，本该是一片烂漫风光。可豪门势家把盛开的花朵都闭锁进自己的深宅大院，剩下那白茫茫的田野，不容点缀些许春意，景象十分寂寥。“不教”一词，显示了豪富人家的霸道，也隐寓着诗人的愤怒，但诗人不把这愤怒直说出来，却托之于东风的惆怅。东风能够播送春光，而不能保护春光不为人攫走，这真是莫大的憾事；可就连这一点憾恨，也无处申诉。权势者炙手可热，于此可见一斑。
诗篇由卖花引出贵族权门贪婪无厌、独占垄断的罪恶。他们不仅要占有财富，占有权势，连春天大自然的美丽也要攫为己有。诗中蕴含着的这一尖锐讽刺，比之白居易《买花》诗着力抨击贵人们的豪华奢侈，在揭示剥削者本性上有了新的深度。表现形式上也不同于白居易诗那样直叙铺陈，而是以更精炼、更委婉的笔法曲折达意，即小见大，充分体现了绝句样式的灵活性。

吴融，唐代诗人。字子华，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人。吴融生于唐宣宗大中四年（850），卒于唐昭宗天复三年（903），享年五十四岁。他生当晚唐后期，一个较前期更为混乱、矛盾、黑暗的时代，他死后三年，曾经盛极一时的大唐帝国也就走入历史了，因此，吴融可以说是整个大唐帝国走向灭亡的见证者之一。
