译文
春天最美好的风光在哪里呢？元宵节则是京城里的人们的偏爱。千万重五彩丝绸，建造起一座高如山岭的彩楼，耸出半空，金碧辉煌。各种各样的华美彩灯点缀在红色的帷幕上，多姿多态，有如龙腾虎跃。在长长的平整而开阔的道路上，精致的马车络绎不绝，奔走于王宫贵人们的府邸之间。
赏灯的人们个个从容不迫，欢欣快乐，他们在华灯齐放的元宵之夜，以夜为昼纵情玩乐，有美如天仙的歌舞女子的表演，也有扮成海上仙山来客的图画故事。在天子亲临观灯的锦绣大街上，观灯的人群衣着鲜丽，翠袖飘香，摩肩接踵，执手欢歌，如潮水般流动。月光恬淡，寒意轻微，天色已经渐渐破晓，铜壶滴漏之声亦渐渐疏寂。我这正值青春年少的狂热少年意犹未足，不喝个酩酊大醉又怎么会回去呢?
注释
御带花：词牌名，调见《六一词》，双调一百字，前段九句四仄韵，后段十句四仄韵。
帝里：都城，此处指汴京。
元夕：即元宵节。
缯（zēng）彩：彩色的丝织品。缯，丝织物的总称，此处指彩灯。
一屏峰岭：指用缯彩所扎的灯山。
宝檠（qíng）：华美的灯。檠，灯架，代指灯。
绛幕：红色幕帐。
龙虎：指龙形和虎形的彩灯。
沙堤：指宰相的府邸。
雕轮绣毂（gǔ）：雕饰华美的车，为富贵人所乘坐。
五王宅：唐睿宗五子之宅。《唐书·让皇帝传》：“初第五子，列第东积善坊，号五王子宅及赐第上都隆庆坊，亦号五王宅。”此处指北宋诸府。
熙熙：和乐之貌。
神姬：仙女，指官府中的乐伎。
拽香摇翠：穿戴着染香的罗衣，摆动着翠玉的头饰。
锦街天陌：处处锦绣的天街大道。
漏声：铜壶滴漏报时的声音。

欧阳修天圣八年（1030）中进士时只有二十四岁，当年到洛阳任留守推官，深得留守钱惟演青睐，其间又结识了不少志同道合的朋友，直到景祐元年(1034)任满回京，时年二十八岁。该词写北宋都城汴京元宵盛况，当作于词人自洛阳归京后的景祐二年至三年（1035—1036）之间。

全词处处浓墨重彩，勾勒出美轮美奂的帝京气象，既体现出作者的无限激情，又体现出一个年轻官员志得意满的豪俊之气，客观上也展示了仁宗时期国泰民安的熙熙景象。
上片写元宵节张灯结彩、灯火辉煌、车水马龙的热闹景象。当春天重返人间的时候风景哪里最好，词作开篇以设问的形式表达出词人对京城元宵的喜爱之情。接下来，词人以铺叙的笔法具体描述汴京元宵的美丽热闹。“万重”以下二韵五句述元宵张灯结彩的情景，高入云天的彩山，层层叠叠，出神入化，构成了一片崇山峻岭，仿佛把本无山峦的汴京城带进了重峦叠嶂之中，而且是金碧辉煌的仙人之境。数不清的华贵银钮照耀在绛紫色的巨幅帷幕上，令人眼花缭乱，不知是在仙界还是在人间。绛幕前不时有龙腾虎跃，把汴京的夜晚变成了人与自然、人与天界完全融合的奇幻世界。千万重彩色丝帛搭建成一座座像山岭一样金碧辉煌的彩楼，各式彩灯点缀在红色的帷帐上，还有各式各样的龙形灯、虎形灯，腾挪跳跃，甚是好看。“沙堤”以下几句则述元宵车马。只见长长的道路上，华美的车子来来往往，奔走在王侯贵人们的府第前。
下片写人们的游乐与狂欢。“雍容”以下六句，述热闹场景。人群熙熙攘攘，街市恍如白昼，还有各种表演，有美若天仙般的女子表演歌舞，还有的表演各种神仙府第的故事。在“锦街天陌”，也就是在京城的锦绣街道上，人们衣着华美，襟袖飘香，携手观灯，一路欢歌。“月淡”句，转写自然环境，月色淡下去了，计时的漏声渐稀，天快亮了。此表明元宵狂欢，夜尽欢未尽，虽然天快亮了，但游玩的人并未散去。末句为青年词人心迹的自我表白：在这样纵情欢游之夜，年少狂热的年轻人当尽兴畅饮，不醉不归。

欧阳修（1007－1072），字永叔，号醉翁，晚号“六一居士”。汉族，吉州永丰（今江西省永丰县）人，因吉州原属庐陵郡，以“庐陵欧阳修”自居。谥号文忠，世称欧阳文忠公。北宋政治家、文学家、史学家，与韩愈、柳宗元、王安石、苏洵、苏轼、苏辙、曾巩合称“唐宋八大家”。后人又将其与韩愈、柳宗元和苏轼合称“千古文章四大家”。
