译文
千里羁旅，多时离家，我禁不住回望故土，倦怠了游山玩水的兴致。
在山中寻找高高低低的戍道，远远近近可以听到泉水的声音。
山涧旁的草色丰富让人眼花，枝丫上的花朵繁多的让人叫不出名字。
但是即使在平麻，我的愁思何时才能停止。只有清肃的晚风和青猿凄厉的啼叫。

怀土：怀恋故土。
戍：防守边疆。
涧：夹在两山间的水沟。
羁心：亦作羇心，犹旅思，羁旅的愁思。
麻平晚行鉴赏
怀土和倦游情这样的词是典型的羁旅思乡的象征。连续三首诗，诗人多次运用百年和千里这样的时间和空间交织进行的搭配，使得愁绪不仅仅弥漫在纸页上，更是充斥在整个空间里，并且随着第四维时间的推移更加的浓重。仿佛我们回到了那个特定的时间，特定的地点，看到诗人的衣带正飘动，感觉到诗人的思绪刚刚开始。百年，和千里，又运用的夸张的手法，洪造得了氛围。
戍道就是为了防守边疆而修的战道。王勃是非常渴望从戎报国的。在《滕王阁》中，他道：“无路请缨，等终军之弱冠；有怀投笔，慕宗悫之长风。”柳宗元的《小石潭纪》中一段极其别致的描写：“隔篁竹，闻水声，如鸣佩环，心乐之。于是伐竹取道”。然而在此诗中，无论是心中的渴望还是自然的美景都无法吸引诗人，高低错落如何，远近鸣环又如何。作者在这里追对它们作了粗略的带过。
涧叶繁密到无法细分颜色，山花也无法辨名。照理说，已经是迷花倚石的境界了。然而，即使见到了仙境般的景色，这种景色，现在仅仅作为诗人羁心的反衬了。诗中，一个才分色和一个不辨名，是不着一色，而写尽风流。其妙处类似于希腊神话中，征战十年怨声连连的士兵看到海伦之后，心甘情愿的留学卖命。（呵呵，跑题了）。
面对如此美景，诗人只道，我的愁思到哪里才会结束。言下之义就是还乡。独在异乡，那种孤独和凄凉，日暮都会浮现和膨胀。柳宗元的小石潭竟然让他凄神寒骨。所谓的“涧叶才分色，山花不辨名”竟然变成“林寒涧肃，常有高猿长啸，属引凄异。空谷传响，哀转久绝。故渔者歌曰：巴东三峡巫峡长，猿鸣三声泪沾裳！”。

王勃（649或650～676或675年），唐代诗人。汉族，字子安。绛州龙门(今山西河津)人。王勃与杨炯、卢照邻、骆宾王齐名，世称“初唐四杰”，其中王勃是“初唐四杰”之首。唐高宗上元三年（676年）八月，自交趾探望父亲返回时，不幸渡海溺水，惊悸而死。王勃在诗歌体裁上擅长五律和五绝，代表作品有《送杜少府之任蜀州》等；主要文学成就是骈文，无论是数量还是质量，堪称一时之最，代表作品有《滕王阁序》等。
