译文
对面山上弥漫着一层蓝色的烟霭显得翠色越发浓稠，齐腰深的草染绿了沙洲。傲霜的橘柚茫茫然一片青苍，被雨水洗礼过的芦苇显得分外俊秀，隔着滔滔江水隐约可以看到远处的江楼。点破潇湘万顷秋意的，是那几片到处飘飞着的枯黄凋残的败柳叶儿。
注释
沉醉东风：曲牌名。
湘阴：今湖南湘阴，在湘江下游，洞庭湖南岸。
蓝：蓼蓝，一种可制作染料的草。
岫（xiù）：山峰。
濯（zhuó）：冲洗。
潇湘：潇水、湘水，湖南的两条大江。此处以潇湘指洞庭湖一带。

该词具体创作年份未知。在某个秋日，诗人行走在湘（今湖南）阴道上，看到美丽宜人的秋景，便忍不住自己内心的喜悦，有感而发，写下了这首小令。

沉醉东风·山对面蓝堆翠岫鉴赏
“山对面兰堆翠岫，草齐腰绿染沙洲”，这两句写的是远景。在“山对面”行走，作者看到对面山上层峦叠翠，路边的小草已长至人的半腰高，染绿了整个沙洲。一个“堆”字将山的颜色由“兰”至“翠”的情形写得有层次感，生动形象。一个“染”字将草的颜色写得型艳欲滴，同时也写出了草之多、之广。“齐腰”一词不仅说明草之高，草长得茂盛，同时也与前句的“对面”两相照应。透过优美的景色，可以感知诗人愉悦的心境。
“傲霜橘柚青，濯雨蒹葭秀”，写的是近景，这才真正体现出了秋意。秋天里，果实累累，成熟的橘柚，颜色青黄相间，傲然挺立在秋风中，被秋雨洗涤过的芦苇，花开丛丛。诗人描写的清新爽朗的景象以及橘柚的颜色，展现了一幅南方的初秋之景。这两句隐隐透露出诗人喜悦的心情。“隔沧波隐隐江楼”，诗人站在江边远眺，隔着烟波浩渺的江面，隐隐看到了矗立在江对面的高楼。
“点破潇湘万顷秋，是几叶儿传黄败柳。”毕竟是秋天到了，虽然还有青青的草木，但万物还是开始零落，几片黄叶儿和残败的柳树告诉诗人湘潇的秋天到了。“几叶儿传黄败柳”一句写得秋意盎然，而“点破”一词用得生动传神，既有突然之意，又有自然而然之感。看到翠绿的山峦和青青的沙洲一片生机勃勃，诗人似乎还没有意识到秋天要到来，直到看到几叶败柳，诗人才恍然大悟，自然之景再生机勃勃，但毕竟秋天到了，该到它掉落的时节了。

赵善庆（？-1345年后），元代文学家。一作赵孟庆，字文贤，一作文宝，饶州乐平（今江西乐平县）人。《录鬼簿》说他「善卜术，任阴阳学正」。著杂剧《教女兵》、《村学堂》八种，均佚。散曲存小令二十九首。《太和正音谱》称其曲「如蓝田美玉」。
