译文
清香的脸蛋有深深的酒窝，姿态妩媚动人，这特殊容颜和高雅气质仿佛是老天赐予的。自认识她以来，得她殷勤看顾，也了解到她的情愫芳心。想在分别之时再约她一起欢聚，那么，我们肯定都会像恋人一样互许平生。可我又害怕恩情破碎容易，成全却很难，不由得思绪万千。
最近她写给我的信中，只是寒暄几句，没有那种絮絮叨叨亲切的言语。于是便想到了，她准是听了别人的教唆，想把曾经的海誓山盟辜负。听说在兰台公子宋玉多才多艺，善词着赋。试问，我们的爱情本当像楚王和巫山神女那样朝云暮雨，相爱相欢，可行云将往何处去呢？
注释
击梧桐：词牌名，柳永所作此词为双调一百八字，见《乐章集》，注“中吕调”。前段十句四仄韵，后段九句四仄韵。
靥（yè）：酒窝。
雅格：典雅格致。天与：天生的。
好看承：好好看待，小心护持。
妖娆：娇艳美好。
临歧：当歧路而分手时。
忉忉（dāo dāo）：絮絮叨叨，指那些亲昵的话语。
认得、听人教当：皆是使人认为的意思。
见说：听说。兰台宋玉：宋玉《风赋》：“楚襄王游于兰台之官，宋玉、景差侍。”后人遂把“兰台”和宋玉连称，或称宋玉为“兰台公子”。
试与问：试问。此下二句用《高唐赋》典，巫山神女自称“旦为朝云，暮为行雨”，后人便将“朝朝暮暮”形容爱人之间的感情极好，朝夕不离，犹云：本当朝朝暮暮相守，可你将往何处去呢？对对方的疏离表达怨望之情。

据南宋初年杨湜的《古今词话》记载，柳永曾在江淮爱上一个官妓，临别时相约再见。及柳永来到京师，日久未回，官妓有他心。柳永闻言伤感，遂作此词，并托人寄与官妓。

击梧桐·香靥深深鉴赏
这首词以第一人称的方式，叙述了词人与一位风尘女子的感情经历。该词对怨情的抒发，不像唐人的闺怨诗那样，往往只写一点、一面或一个瞬间。《击梧桐》反映的是从相知到分离，再到相思的全过程，具有较强的叙事性。
此词上片，回忆过去的相知和别离。首三句是词人见到这位女子时的情景，“香靥深深”，涂抹了香粉的脸蛋上有一对深深的酒窝；“姿姿媚媚”，姿容足以媚悦于人；“雅格奇容天与”，格调、容貌出众，是天所给予的，可见词人对于她是一见钟情。“自识伊来”三句，是对过去相知相爱的甜蜜的回忆，洋溢着幸福感。先概括地说，从一开始认识，便蒙她很好地照顾自己，然后着重地指出最突岀之点：“会得妖娆心素”，理解得了她一片娇媚的内心情愫。俗话说：千两黄金容易得，知心一个也难求。而她的这片心意使他念念不忘。
“临歧再约同欢”两句，是对过去分别时的回忆。当时的依恋之情，跃然纸上，充分地表现那对未来的美好的希望。在那岔道上，一对情侣时而泪眼相看，时而破涕为笑，时而海誓山盟。“又恐恩情”三句，是新别后的担忧，因为在烟花路上，谁能保证她的“同欢”之约、“相许”之言，不会一走了之？所以，词人对别时“再约同欢”的美梦，会产生“易破难成”的“千般思虑”。在这思虑当中，包含很多惆怅与忐忑。
下片，抒写现在的怨恨和相思。首三句，表现得到恋人书信后的不满。一对情侣，如果是真心相爱的话，她分离后应该是非常痛苦，非常忧伤的，然而来信中只是冷淡地寒暄几句，没有那种绵绵关切的言语，使得词人心底的期盼落空，转而胡思乱想，“便认得、听人教当”，脑海中出现了这幅场景，被别人教唆，想把曾经的誓言都辜负，这反映了他的患得患失的心态。最后一句引用宋玉《高唐赋》中楚王和巫山神女的典故，词人希望他的爱情也同《高唐赋》里的那样，但现实生活中那位“行云”，她的行踪飘忽不定无法寻觅。
全词以委婉的手法，将词人从相见、相知、相爱到离别的感情经历娓娓诉说，句句满含着对恋人的深情，也体现了他因用情产生对恋人变心的猜测与怨意。

柳永，（约987年—约1053年）北宋著名词人，婉约派代表人物。汉族，崇安（今福建武夷山）人，原名三变，字景庄，后改名永，字耆卿，排行第七，又称柳七。宋仁宗朝进士，官至屯田员外郎，故世称柳屯田。他自称“奉旨填词柳三变”，以毕生精力作词，并以“白衣卿相”自诩。其词多描绘城市风光和歌妓生活，尤长于抒写羁旅行役之情，创作慢词独多。铺叙刻画，情景交融，语言通俗，音律谐婉，在当时流传极其广泛，人称“凡有井水饮处，皆能歌柳词”，婉约派最具代表性的人物之一，对宋词的发展有重大影响，代表作 《雨霖铃》《八声甘州》。
