译文
雨刚刚晴，远处升起暖暖雾气。幽静的小园里繁花落尽。 伸手轻轻摘下一双红豆，低下头，想起了我们生死相隔，不由泪流满面。
人离开了就像这过去的春天容颜不再，繁华易失。拿着酒临溪伤神。就算是有人面桃花，一叶扁舟，也是一种相思两处闲愁。
注释
南乡子：唐教坊曲名，后用作词牌。又名《好离乡》、《蕉叶怨》。原为单调，有二十七字、二十八字、三十字各体，平仄换韵。
红豆子：即相思树所结之子。果实成荚，微扁，子大如豌豆，色鲜红或半红半黑。古人以此作为爱情或相思的象征。唐王维《相思》：“红豆生南国，春来发几枝。劝君多采撷，此物最相思。”
卮酒（zhī ）：古代盛酒的器皿。酹（lèi）：指将酒倒在地上，表示祭奠或立誓。石尤：石尤风，即逆风或顶头风。
“别自”二句：意谓与你分别之后，定然还有人在这里乘小船作别。桃叶渡，渡口名。地在江苏省南京市秦淮河畔，因晋王献之于此歌烦其妾桃叶而得名。后人以此代指情人分别之地，或分别之意。
“一种”句：谓同样的烟波渡口，同样的分别，但各人却有着各自的离愁了。

南乡子·烟暖雨初收创作背景
这首词是送别情人时所作。纳兰结识了江南才女沈宛。两人起初只是书信往来，后来便渐生情愫。后纳兰娶沈宛为妾，两人恩爱如蜜。但因纳兰身份特殊，终于不得已与沈宛分离。送她回江南。这便是这首《南乡子·烟暖雨初收》的写作背景。

南乡子·烟暖雨初收鉴赏
这又是一首抒写离愁别绪的词作。“烟暖雨初收，落尽繁花小院幽”，首句描写了刚下过雨后的小院情景。风雨初晴，小院中落花满地，显得十分幽静。正所谓“一切景语皆情语”，在这种幽静的意境中，可以看到分别在即的两人相对无语泪满眶的景象。
“摘得一双红豆子，低头，说著分携泪暗流”，爱人采下两颗红豆，低头和词人说着分别的话语，说着说着，不禁泪流满面。“红豆”，古人常用其象征爱情或相思，唐代诗人王维就曾以红豆为意象，写出了脍炙人口的《相思》诗：红豆生南国，春来发几枝。愿君多采撷，此物最相思。
“石尤”是纳兰引用到的典故。纳兰用到这个典故，是说女主人公希望能够效仿石尤氏，化作大风阻止爱人远行。但是天不遂人愿，女主人公的愿望终究破灭，爱人最终乘船离去，分开的两人只能独自品尝自己的忧愁。
全词的上片追忆往昔，下片则描写别后幽情。“人去似春休，卮酒曾将酹石尤”，爱人离开之后，好像连春天也被他带走了，以酒践行时甚至祈祷船在行驶时能够遇上顶头风。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
