译文
平野上淡淡的烟雾，又送贵族公子而去。花儿仍在哭泣，黄莺寂然无语。芭蕉心缩卷不展，依依杨柳愁思千缕。今夜的雨，一定会化为那相思树，双目所过间，都成前尘故事。不知何时能再相会？饮下百倍桑落酒，高唱三叠阳关句，情还未了，渡口边的月已迷蒙了江水。
注释
平楚：即平林。
王孙：贵族公子。
相思树：千宝《搜神记·韩凭妻》载，战国宋康王舍人韩凭妻何氏貌美，康王夺之，罚韩凭筑长城，不久，夫妻相继自杀。康王怒，使二人坟墓相望。隔夜间，两坟头皆长出梓木，旬日间粗可合抱，根交错，枝接杂宋人哀怜，称其木为相思树。
前古：古代；往古。
良会：美好的聚会。
三叠阳关：即《阳关曲》，以王维《送元二使安西》诗为辞，送别时唱。
津诸，即津渡，渡口。

千秋岁·淡烟平楚鉴赏
此词写离别之苦。
上阕连用花、莺、芭蕉、杨柳、雨、相思树六种物事作渲染、衬托，以柳“丝”谐情“思”，并引进凄婉的爱情传说，表达双方情谊之深，抒发不忍离别的感情。“芭蕉心一寸，杨柳思千缕”与“百杯桑落酒，三叠阳关句”两联警绝，把饯别时的景色场面与情感交融在一起。一、千、百、三等数量词反复出现，既表现出情绪的激烈，而又变化错落，灵动自如。
下阕则将时间前拉后伸，见前欢不可再，后会亦无期，从而将这次离别的苦楚，放大到整个人生，整个今古。“百杯”句，即“劝君更进”之意，劝酒以表关切，“三叠”句，即吟诗或作诗以赠别。末尾二句言反复叙别，尚未尽达其情，月已出，潮亦生，船就要开走了。“月明潮上迷津渚”七字融叙事、写景、抒情于一体，寄情于景，以景结篇，而又遥应开头，颇为巧妙。

刘基（1311年7月1日－1375年5月16日）字伯温，谥曰文成，元末明初杰出的军事谋略家、政治家、文学家和思想家，明朝开国元勋，汉族，浙江文成南田（原属青田）人，故时人称他刘青田，明洪武三年（1370）封诚意伯，人们又称他刘诚意。武宗正德九年追赠太师，谥号文成，后人又称他刘文成、文成公。他以神机妙算、运筹帷幄著称于世。刘伯温是中国古代的一位传奇人物，至今在中国大陆、港澳台乃至东南亚、日韩等地仍有广泛深厚的民间影响力。
