译文
夕阳西下，是谁把她从楼上唤出，她柔嫩的手里握着一把香草，她站在台阶前回头看看。却强忍着笑意站住了尽管一语不发，却依然很美丽。
信中约定好却没能如期而至，就不要再说什么相思。劝你沉醉在小窗，还没到落花相见的时候。
注释
落花时：词牌名，许增光绪六年（1880）《纳兰词》刻本，有注云：“按此调谱律不载，疑亦自度曲。一本作《好花时》。”双调四十八字，上阕三平韵，下阕两平韵。
香荑（tí）：原指散发着芳香的嫩草，此处指女子柔嫩的手指。荑：茅草的嫩芽。
总：通“纵”，即使，纵然。依依：依恋不舍的样子。
笺书：信札，文书。直恁（nèn）：竟然如此。无凭据：不能凭信，难以料定。指书信中的期约竟如此不足凭信，即谓“误期、爽约”之意。

落花时·夕阳谁唤下楼梯创作背景
这首词的具体创作年代已不可考。纳兰性德对纯真爱情的执着追求，对恋人妻子的真情挚爱，使他的许多词中描写的爱情生活十分旖旎动人，比如这首极富情趣的《落花时》，写的就是他与恋人之间的那种心心相印的温情和且亲且嗔的缠绵怜爱。

上阕中“夕阳谁唤下楼梯，一握香荑”，夕阳西下时分，伊人从楼上被人唤出，下得楼来与人相亲，她的手指，白嫩如荑。“一握香荑”并非说她手里握着一把香草，此句乃是对伊人形貌的刻画，正如《诗经·卫风·硕人》“手如柔荑，肤如凝脂”，用柔嫩的白茅芽比喻美人的手指，描绘庄姜之美。古代男女相约，十分不易，但是伊人下得楼来，却忍笑伫立，一语不发，叫人摸不着头脑。“回头忍笑阶前立，总无语、也依依”三句，是描绘女子的神情：本该见情郎了，她却回头忍笑，婧婧地在阶前倚立，静默无语；但即使没有言语，在情郎眼里，也还是那样楚楚动人。描写二人相会时，词人从女子落笔，写得精致活泼，数十字之间将伊人的形貌神情，心波暗涌，GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人间且亲且嗔的复杂心态写得清透，读来惟妙惟肖。
下阕道破伊人忍笑伫立，一语不发的原因。“笺书直恁无凭据，休说相思”，她嗔怪GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人信中相约却失约，故假意娇嗔说：书信中的期约竟如此不足凭信，你误期爽约，请你不必再说对我的相思了。但不是真是“休说相思”。“劝伊好向红窗醉，须莫及、落花时”，大约是看见GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人慌乱着急，自己心下又不忍，遂以俏皮的口吻转口来抚慰GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人珍重春光好沉醉，不要因为犹豫而耽误了两人相处的好时光，言语间隐有“有花堪折直须折”的雅骚之意，含情女子的曲款心事，不言而喻，而彼此且亲且嗔的复杂心态，亦活灵活现。精准的用词中，看得出其中缱绻的情意，离愁，离恨，相爱，相守，爱情之中的种种，纳兰尽悉把握词中。生命犹如朝露，虚幻间便很快度过了一生，如果不及时把握，那悔恨的将会是自己。
这首《落花时》虽写GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人幽会，但细致入骨，周身春光亦仿佛流转不定，眉目相照时只见缱绻未露轻薄，其风流蕴藉处颇有北宋小令遗风，言辞殊丽，一似月照清荷。珍重而亲昵，这是纳兰性德风骨心境高于一般市井词人的地方。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
