吉祥日子好时辰，恭敬肃穆娱上皇。
手抚长剑玉为环，佩玉铿锵声清亮。
华贵坐席玉镇边，满把香花吐芬芳。
蕙草裹肉兰为垫，祭奠美酒飘桂香。
高举鼓槌把鼓敲，节拍疏缓歌声响，
吹竽鼓瑟声悠扬。
群巫娇舞服饰美，香气四溢香满堂。
众音齐会响四方，上皇欢欣乐安康。
注释
九歌：《楚辞》篇名。原为传说中的一种远古歌曲的名称，屈原据民间祭神乐歌改作或加工而成，共十一篇。东皇太一：天神名，具体是何种神祇，历代学者说法不一。
吉日：吉祥的日子。辰良：即良辰。
穆：恭敬肃穆。愉：同“娱”，此处指娱神，使神灵愉快、欢乐。上皇：即东皇太一。
珥：指剑柄上端像两耳突出的饰品。
璆（qiú）：形容玉石相悬击的样子。锵：象声词，此处指佩玉相碰撞而发出的声响。
瑶席：珍贵华美的席垫。瑶，美玉。玉瑱（zhèn）：同“镇”，用玉做的压席器物。
盍（hé）：同“合”，聚集在一起。琼芳：指赤玉般美丽的花朵。琼，赤色玉。
蕙：香草名，兰科植物。肴蒸：大块的肉。藉（jiè）：垫底用的东西。
椒浆：用有香味的椒浸泡的美酒。
枹（fú）：鼓槌。拊（fǔ）：敲击。
安歌：歌声徐缓安详。
陈：此处指乐器声大作。浩倡：倡同“唱”；浩倡指大声唱，气势浩荡。
灵：楚人称神、巫为灵，这里指以歌舞娱神的群巫。偃蹇：指舞姿优美的样子。姣服：美丽的服饰。
芳菲菲：香气浓郁的样子。
五音：指宫、商、角、徵、羽五种音调。繁会：众音汇成一片，指齐奏。
君：此处指东皇太一。

九歌·东皇太一鉴赏
《九歌·东皇太一》作为《九歌》的开首篇，在全诗中有着特殊的地位与意义。“太一”在屈原时代并不是神，它在“东皇太一”中不可能充当神的称谓；而“东皇”，由于先秦时代的东——春对应等关系，表明了它乃是春神的指称。在没有更确凿材料发现之前，“东皇太一”应是春神的说法可以成立。至于“太一”，在这里的含义是始而又始，象征起始与开端。
诗一开首，先交待祭祀的时日——因是祭春神，故时日当在春天。选择春日的吉良时辰，人们准备恭恭敬敬地祭祀上皇——春神——东皇太一，让其愉悦地降临人世，给人间带来万物复苏、生命繁衍、生机勃发的新气象。主持祭祀的主祭者抚摸长剑上的玉珥，整饬好服饰，恭候春神降临。开头四句，简洁而又明了地写出了祭祀的时间与祭祀者们对春神的恭敬与虔诚。
继而描述了祭祀所必备的祭品：瑶席，玉瑱，欢迎春神的楚地芳草以及款待春神的佳肴美酒。这一切，配合着繁音急鼓、曼舞浩唱，告诉人们，春神将要降临了。整个祭祀气氛开始进入高潮。
末尾四句，是全诗的尾声，也是祭祀的高潮——春神于此时降临了。“偃蹇兮姣服”——是春神美妙动人的舞姿与外表，“芳菲菲兮满堂”——是春神带来的春的气息与氛围。欢迎祈盼的人们于是钟鼓齐奏、笙箫齐鸣，使欢乐气氛达到最高潮。末句“君欣欣兮乐康”，既是春神安康欣喜神态的直接描绘，也是祭祀的人们对春神降临所表露的欣喜心态。
全诗篇幅虽短，却层次清晰，描写生动，气氛热烈，给人一种既庄重又欢快的感觉，充分表达了人们对春神的敬重、欢迎与祈望，希望春神多多赐福人间，给人类的生命繁衍、农作物生长带来福音。

屈原（约公元前340-前278），中国古代伟大的爱国诗人。汉族，出生于楚国丹阳，名平，字原。战国时期楚国贵族出身，任三闾大夫、左徒,兼管内政外交大事。公元前278年秦将白起一举攻破楚国首都郢都。忧国忧民的屈原在长沙附近汩罗江怀石自杀，端午节据说就是他的忌日。他写下许多不朽诗篇，成为中国古代浪漫主义诗歌的奠基者，在楚国民歌的基础上创造了新的诗歌体裁楚辞。他创造的“楚辞”文体在中国文学史上独树一帜，与《诗经》并称“风骚”二体，对后世诗歌创作产生积极影响。
