译文
栖息在林中的乌鸦最喜初沐晨光，我抚摸着一头乱发为一年将尽而伤感。
空有一腔抱负，哪里才是我的用武之地呢？
北风呼啸而没有多余的衣物御寒，奴仆跟马匹都是饥寒交迫。
与妻儿告别时悲伤难抑，对于自己即将远行更是犹豫徘徊和悲痛。
但是志气男儿在如今这开明盛世，又怎能一直处于困厄之中呢。
且看朝堂之上谁是木偶，谁又是真正的有识之士。
我郁郁寡欢的过着贫苦的生活，久久想不出端由来。
成功后不求功名利禄，失败后也不会隐居遁世。
什么时候才能施展自己的抱负，时光飞逝，岁月不等人。
人生际遇难道都是暮年才会来到吗？这真是让人悲愤不已啊！

只盼望这一天早早到来，我就能一展抱负。
注释
曙：天刚亮。
蓬：散乱。这里指散乱的头发。
岁阑：岁暮，一年将尽的时候。
朔风：北风，寒风。
重衣：谓重复多餘的衣服。
惨戚：亦作“惨慼”。悲伤凄切。
迟回：犹徘徊。
休明：用以赞美明君或盛世。
泥蟠：蟠屈在泥污中。亦比喻处在困厄之中。
跳丸：比喻日月运行。谓时间过得很快。

陈陶(约公元812—约885年)：字嵩伯，号三教布衣。《全唐诗》卷七百四十五“陈陶”传作“岭南(一云鄱阳，一云剑浦)人”。然而从其《闽川梦归》等诗题，以及称建水(在今福建南平市东南，即闽江上游)一带山水为“家山”(《投赠福建路罗中丞》)来看，当是剑浦(今福建南平)人，而岭南(今广东广西一带)或鄱阳(今江西波阳)只是他的祖籍。早年游学长安，善天文历象，尤工诗。举进士不第，遂恣游名山。唐宣宗大中(847—860年)时，隐居洪州西山(在今江西新建县西)，后不知所终。有诗十卷，已散佚，后人辑有《陈嵩伯诗集》一卷。
