吟风咏月的笔墨生涯匆匆流过，眼底下儿孙小辈日渐增多。有人问我人事如何。人海无边的辽阔，没有一天没有风波。
注释
风月：笔下描绘的清风明月。
儿曹：小儿辈，指晚辈的青年。
人海阔：指人事纷纭复杂。
风波：喻人事的复杂和仕途的艰险。
阳春曲·笔头风月时时过创作背景
这首散曲具体的创作时间已无从考证。姚燧一生有着历居显要、高官厚禄的生活经历。但宦海沉浮，他也体验过仕途风波的变幻莫测。诗人面对元代社会上层内部倾轧的现实，慨叹之中创作此篇。

阳春曲·笔头风月时时过鉴赏
“笔头风月时时过，眼底儿曹渐渐多”，随着笔下的风花雪月一年一年地消逝，跟前的儿女子孙也一个一个多了起来。时光荏苒，转眼间诗人已到暮年，儿孙满堂。这两句是明显的对句，无论从词性、句子的结构，还是平仄搭配上看都对仗工整，而且构思巧妙，前句从多说到少，后句从少说到多。
前面两句以平常的口吻、简单的文字描绘了一幅宁静、恬淡的生活景象，实际上是为后面的“无日不风波”做铺垫。平静的背后潜藏着跌宕起伏的“风波”，这种情绪上的反差，正是作者别出心裁的设计。
“有人问我事如何”一句以设问引起转折，问的是仕途的命运，家事的前途，从上面对时光流逝的感慨转为对广阔人生的思考。最后两句“人海阔，无日不风波”是对设问句的回答，同时也是他对一生仕途生活的总结。人海茫茫，社会广阔，人事纷争，无时无刻不是在各种“惊涛骇浪”中颠簸，随时可能身陷危机，这一略显消极的总结体现出作者对现实的不满之情。
