译文
孔夫子已经死了许多年，我如今也在乘船浮游大海。
天黑见北斗星斗柄掉转，才知道新的一年已经到来。
任轻便的木船随意飘去，垂下钓竿并没有什么期待。
问一问那乘槎归来的人，海上仙洲究竟在什么地方？
注释
仲尼：即孔子。孔子姓孔名丘，字仲尼，后世尊称为孔子。
浮于海：用《论语·公冶长》“子曰：‘道不行，乘桴浮于海’”语意，表示不得志而避世。
昏：黄昏，天色将晚时。斗柄：指北斗七星第五至第七的三颗星。回：指回复到前一年年终时的位置。北斗星方位随季节变换而跟着移动，所以古人从斗柄所指方向可以推知不同的节候。
岁星：即木星。古人以其岁行一次，用以纪年。岁星改，是说一年又要过去了。
虚舟：轻舟。
“垂钓”句：意思是诗人自己虽隐居垂钓，但并不似姜太公那样有所等待。
乘槎人：《博物志》：“旧说云天河与海通。近世有人居海渚者，年年八月有浮槎去来。不失期，人有奇志，立飞阁于槎上，多积粮，乘槎而去。”槎，指竹、木筏。
沧洲：指海上可供隐居之处。

孟浩然（689-740），男，汉族，唐代诗人。本名不详（一说名浩），字浩然，襄州襄阳（今湖北襄阳）人，世称“孟襄阳”。浩然，少好节义，喜济人患难，工于诗。年四十游京师，唐玄宗诏咏其诗，至“不才明主弃”之语，玄宗谓：“卿自不求仕，朕未尝弃卿，奈何诬我？”因放还未仕，后隐居鹿门山，著诗二百余首。孟浩然与另一位山水田园诗人王维合称为“王孟”。
