译文
早上还享受着登瀛洲般的幸运，傍晚已在湖滨泊船，去岳麓山寻求写诗的灵感，到湘水边寻找春天。在水乡中把兰花穿以为佩，在小洲中拔取香草杜若，又有谁为之招魂呢？只是徒然地极目远望那环绕在苍梧山上的暮云，湘山昏暗，那湘水之神的宝瑟也聚满了灰尘。世态纷争，悠久而古老的长沙又接纳过多少的迁客骚人呢？
注释
蟾宫曲：曲牌名，又名折桂令。
长沙：古代又称潭州，今湖南省长沙市。
瀛洲：本指传说中的海上仙山。唐太宗李世民为了网罗人オ，成立文学馆。入选者极受人羡慕，称内“登瀛洲”，被视为登临仙境一样荣幸。元代的集贤院，类似唐文学馆，这里暗喻自己有集贤院头衔。
舣（yǐ）：使船靠岸。
湖滨：这里指长沙，因长沙地处洞庭湖边。
衡麓（lù）：衡山山麓，即岳麓山，在长沙郊外。
湘水：即湘江，经长沙注入洞庭湖。
泽国：指湖南水乡。
纫兰：佩戴着兰花。纫，连缀起来。屈原《离骚》“纫秋兰以为佩”。
汀洲：水边沙地。
搴（qiān）若：釆摘杜若。搴，采摘。若，杜若，一种香草。
招魂：屈原曾于湘江写下《招魂》篇，为昏君楚怀王招魂。另一解宋玉为屈原作《招魂》。这里借屈原遭流放暗喻自己。
苍梧：又名九嶷山，在今湖南宁远县，相传为舜所葬处。
黄陵：黄陵山，又名湘山，在今湖南湘潭县北。相传山上有舜二妃的墓祠。
宝瑟：有二十五弦的拨乐器。舜时只有五弦和二十三弦。舜善拨瑟，且教二妃拨瑟。
凝尘：积满灰尘。
几度：多少次，多少个。
词臣：本指皇帝身边的文学侍从。这里泛指像屈原、贾谊那样的文士、骚人词客。

蟾宫曲·长沙怀古创作背景
元成宗大德（1297~1307）初年，作者被授集贤学士、大中大夫，不久就被外放湖南长沙，失去接近皇帝、在朝廷有所建树的机会。到湖南任职后，作者写了不少凭吊古迹的散曲，这是其中的一首。

蟾宫曲·长沙怀古鉴赏
这是一首怀古之作。
曲子首句“朝瀛洲暮舣湖滨”，“朝”与“暮”自然是夸张的说法，意在说明境遇改变之迅速。一看便知作者怀古伤情的原因。作者早上还在集贤院上任，晚上就已经乘船到了长沙，而从他对集贤院的称呼“瀛洲”来看，他对那里的生活十分满意。
“向衡麓寻诗，湘水寻春”交代卢挚到访洞庭一带的目的，在秀丽的山水中寻找快乐，表达他随遇而安、自寻快乐的积极人生态度。
“泽国纫兰，汀洲搴若，谁与招魂？”这三句与屈原密不可分。“泽国纫兰”出自《离骚》中的诗句“纫秋兰以为佩”；“江洲搴若”出自《湘夫人》中的“搴汀洲兮杜若”；“谁与招魂”中的“招魂”指的是宋玉为屈原所作的《招魂》作者徘徊在湘水之滨，隔着悠久的岁月向沉江而死的屈原致敬，其中也包含着对屈原处境与遭遇的深切理解。
“空目断苍梧暮云，黯黄陵宝瑟凝尘。”暮色沉沉，苍梧黄陵山被晚霞笼罩，极目远望，苍梧山上的陵墓、黄陵庙的湘妃宝瑟已经覆满尘土，令人心生感伤。
“世态纷纷，千古长沙，几度词臣！”世态变化万千，长沙千百年来停留过多少遭逐的文人墨客，他们不受皇帝赏识被贬至此，只能用文字诉说心中的抑郁和愤懑。这样的历史至今仍在反复。可见作者名为吊古，实际上是在倾诉自己内心的感慨。他歌颂屈原，歌颂那些历史上同他一样徘徊湘水不得志的词人忠臣，实际上也在为自己明志。
此曲蕴凄凉于苍劲之中，情真意切，令人感动。

卢挚（1242-1314），字处道，一字莘老；号疏斋，又号蒿翁。元代涿郡（今河北省涿县）人。至元5年(1268)进士，任过廉访使、翰林学士。诗文与刘因、姚燧齐名，世称“刘卢”、“姚卢”。与白朴、马致远、珠帘秀均有交往。散曲如今仅存小令。著有《疏斋集》（已佚）《文心选诀》《文章宗旨》,传世散曲一百二十首。有的写山林逸趣，有的写诗酒生活，而较多的是“怀古”，抒发对故国的怀念。今人有《卢疏斋集辑存》，《全元散曲》录存其小令。
