双燕复双燕，双飞令人羡。
玉楼珠阁不独栖，金窗绣户长相见。
柏梁失火去，因入吴王宫。
吴宫又焚荡，雏尽巢亦空。
憔悴一身在，孀雌忆故雄。

译文
天上自由自在比翼而飞的双燕，实在令人羡慕。
它们总是成双成对地在玉楼珠阁中共筑爱巢，在金窗绣户间相互嬉戏低飞。
柏梁台失火了，焚烧了它们的巢窝，它们只好又到吴王宫里筑巢。
吴宫又遭焚荡，这一次更惨，烧了个雏尽巢空。
只剩下憔悴的孀雌一燕身在，雌燕怀着对雄燕的无限眷恋，憔悴不堪。
比翼双飞的日子已难再得，真是使人寸心欲碎。
注释
1.宋人郭茂倩《乐府诗集》：“《独处吟》、《流凘咽》、《双燕离》、《处女吟》四曲，其词俱亡。”就是说乐府中有《双燕离》等琴曲，曲辞已不存。李白此诗为据琴曲所填。
2.“柏梁”句：汉武帝时皇宫中有柏梁殿，遭火焚。柏梁：汉长安台名。《二辅黄图》卷五：“柏粱台，武帝元鼎二年春起。此台在长安城中北关内。”王琦注云：“《汉武内传》太初元年十一月已酉，天火烧柏梁台。”此句似言李白被谗出众事。
3. “因入”句：此句似言太白入永王璘幕府事。
4.“吴宫”句：越王勾践伐吴，曾火焚吴王宫。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
