汪懋麟[公元一六四o年至一六八八年]字季角，号蛟门，江苏江都人。生于明思宗崇祯十三年，卒于清圣祖康熙二十七年，年四十九岁。康熙六年（公元一六六七年）进士，授内阁中书。因徐乾学荐，以刑部主事入史馆充纂修官，与修明史，撰述最富。吏才尤通敏。旋罢归，杜门谢宾客，昼治经，夜读史，日事研究，锐意成一家言。方三年，遽得疾卒。懋麟与汪楫同里同有诗名，时称“二汪”。著有百尺梧桐阁集二十六卷，《清史列传》行于世。
