译文
戴上钗燕，挽结云鬟，晚来梳妆可却无法欢心。一心想用裙带拴住你那将要离去的兰舟，别离的痛楚滋味又一次涌上心头。
岸边那寒夜中的杨柳枝在独自飞舞，河中的鸳鸯在疾风中无法安眠。有些事儿真的无需在心头萦绕牵挂。
注释
浣溪沙：唐代教坊曲名，后用为词牌。分平仄两体，字数以四十二字居多，还有四十四字和四十六字两种。最早采用此调的是唐人韩偓，通常以其词为正体，另有四种变体。全词分两片，上片三句全用韵，下片末二句用韵。此调音节明快，为婉约、豪放两派词人所常用。
钗燕：带有燕子形状装饰之钗。
笼云：挽结云鬟。
忺（xiān）：高兴、适意。

浣溪沙·辛亥正月二十四日发合肥创作背景
这是一首与情人依依惜别的情词，作于绍熙二年辛亥（1191）正月二十四日离别合肥之际 。此一别，很可能就是白石与合肥女子最后之别，至少那年之后，即成生离死别。

浣溪沙·辛亥正月二十四日发合肥鉴赏
上片从女子一方写惜别。“钗燕笼云晚不忺。”钗燕者，带有燕子形状装饰之钗。笼云即挽结云鬟。忺，高兴、适意。晚来梳妆，钗燕笼云，然而，打扮起来，却掩饰不住愁容惨淡。起句写女子之美丽容妆，次句写其言为心声。“拟将裙带系郎船。”裙带如何系得住郎船？真是无理而妙。白石论诗有四妙，其一是“理高妙”，即“碍而实通”，看似无理，实真有理，且自然而妙。痴语最见痴情，故妙。用女子之物，道女子之情，又妙。“别离滋味又今年。”“又”说明别离已非一次，只有体味过别离滋味的人，才能在临别之前，体会到即将来临的那种别离滋味。语意从李煜《相见欢》“剪不断，理还乱。是离愁，别有一般滋味在心头”中化出。喃喃一语，辛酸何限。凄凉的情味，与美丽的容妆，自成鲜明对比，无限伤情，尽在其中。
下片从自己一面写对GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人的劝慰。“杨柳夜寒犹自舞，鸳鸯风急不成眠”，词人说：你看那寒夜之杨柳，树欲静而风不止，柳枝参差飞舞，哪得片刻安宁？你看那水上之鸳鸯，固疾风劲吹也不得安眠。天下事不如意者十之八九，又何止你与我？“些儿闲事莫萦牵。”作者说：离别不会太久，重逢仍旧有期，你不要萦心牵怀，放心不下啊！大有“无为在歧路，儿女共沾巾”（王勃《送杜少府之任蜀州》）的豪情与潇洒。不曾想到，此一刻即为生离死别，“此恨绵绵无绝期”，所以后来才有“当时何时莫匆匆”（《浣溪沙》）的痛悔。鸳鸯风急不成眠，实为离别时不祥之语，实为后来重逢难期的不幸之预谶，白石合肥情遇，后来终成一生悲剧。
此词不用典实，不假藻饰，纯似口语，而具见性情。上片由女子之容妆写出女子之心声，笔笔都写出足不出户的古代女子之特征——用情专执。下片由风中之杨柳说到风中之鸳鸯，语语都见得饱读诗书的古代读书人特征——温文尔雅。女子只是顺情直说，读书人则言必用比兴。但他比兴用得好，以眼前景，喻心中情，又纯似口语。这纯似口语的艺术语言，源于词人“纯似友情”（夏承焘《合肥词事考》）的真诚爱心，是从词人性灵肺腑之中自然流出。白石爱情词的本原在于此，其价值亦在于此。

姜夔，南宋文学家、音乐家。人品秀拔，体态清莹，气貌若不胜衣，望之若神仙中人。往来鄂、赣、皖、苏、浙间，与诗人词家杨万里、范成大、辛弃疾等交游。庆元中，曾上书乞正太常雅乐，他少年孤贫，屡试不第，终生未仕，一生转徙江湖，靠卖字和朋友接济为生。他多才多艺，精通音律，能自度曲，其词格律严密。其作品素以空灵含蓄著称，有《白石道人歌曲》等。姜夔对诗词、散文、书法、音乐，无不精善，是继苏轼之后又一难得的艺术全才。
