译文
骑在马上一往情深地忆起旧游，啊！那条映照花丛浸润翠竹的小溪流。还有那溪边罗幕里的钿筝和晃动的玉搔头。
披星戴月地出门离家已经太久，又怎堪离别的相思又经一秋！晚风萧瑟。斜阳惨淡，令人不胜悲愁。
注释
旧游：旧时的游客或游侣。
钿（diàn）筝句：钿筝，嵌金为饰之筝。筝，古代弦乐器。罗幕，帷帐。玉搔头，即玉簪。晋葛洪《西京杂记》卷二：“武帝过李夫人，就取玉簪搔头，自此后宫人搔头皆用玉。”
早是：与韦庄《长安清明》诗：“早是伤春梦雨天，可堪芳草更羊芊。”句式相同。
可堪：那堪，怎能经受得住。分袂，分手。袂（mèi）， 衣袖。

浣溪沙·马上凝情忆旧游创作背景
南唐亡国后，张泌随后主李煜投降北宋。这首词为他追忆往事，追想旧游之地与旧游之人之作。

浣溪沙·马上凝情忆旧游鉴赏
上片写旧日景致，幽雅缱绻，点明旧游景致之美，人之娇艳，引入对旧游情境的回忆。
“马上凝情忆旧游”。一位游子离乡远行，鞍马劳顿之际，他凝神远想，情寄旧游。这个开头领起下文，对抒情主人公的生活状况、感情色彩、想念的对象，都作了概括的描述，笔墨简练省净，既规定了词的下文所将叙写的情事，也为全词创造了深沉哀伤的感情基调。
“照花淹竹小溪流，钿筝罗幕玉搔头。”二、三句承“忆旧游而来，追想旧游之地和旧游之人。这两句，前句写自然环境，后句写人及情事，都是侧面着笔，以虚涵实，描绘出了诗情画意的生活片断，非常真切。上句写了三个自然事物，各用一动词来刻画，且写花、竹，避实就虚，不直接进行描写，而是写其被澄明的溪水所反照、所浸渍的情形，倍觉姿态摇曳，灵动有味；那一片甜润温馨、深挚缱绻的依恋之情，更是油然溢出纸外。下句写人、地、乐器，叠用三名词，但所在地的环境，人物的美貌，尽形毕态，跃然纸上；赏心乐事，难以忘怀。
下片写别后情况，渲染出一位在晚风斜阳中充满忧愁的旅客形象，极言旅途之劳顿与别后思念之情。【5】 “早是出门长带月，可堪分袂又经秋。”过片承“马上”，叙写与旧游分离以后的浪迹情景。别后常是披星戴月，辛劳奔波，忽忽又已经年。行役已艰辛备尝，更难堪分别日久的相思之苦。“早是……可堪……”，相当于现代汉语的“已是……哪堪……”的句式，具有递进、加倍的作用，与上片“旧游”的情景形成鲜明的对照，比较之下，显然见得在外漂泊的艰辛与浪游人的哀伤情绪。
“晚风斜日不胜愁。”结句再作渲染。晚风萧瑟，斜阳惨淡，游人对着这寂寞苍凉的景色，不禁触目伤情，愁绪无穷。词至这里，既回应了开头情境，使首尾相贯，浑然一体，又借苍茫暗淡的暮色，将无形的愁思衬出，收到语深意长、含蓄不尽的艺术效果。
这首词按其内容来说，是典型的香艳词了。但作者却将男欢女爱、卿卿我我这样的情事有意淡化，而着重写两颗心灵的追忆与呼唤，这就使香艳词脱离了脂粉气，男欢女爱的感情得到了升华与净化，风格也显得清俊明秀，空灵透脱，疏中有密，跌宕多姿。
词是抒发追忆旧游的感情，表现上却纯用叙述手法。全词通过精心选择、描述几个具有典型意义的事件、场景，事中见意，景中含情，使词画面鲜明而情味浓郁；再者，以首句领起全词，照管上下片，前后呼应，起承转合，脉络分明，构思精巧，结体颇具匠心，堪称“章法极妙”。
