刘翰，字武子（一说武之），长沙（今属湖南）人，光宗绍熙中前后在世。曾为高宗宪圣吴皇后侄吴益子琚门客，有诗词投呈张孝祥、范成大。久客临安，迄以布衣终身。今存《小山集》一卷。事见《两宋名贤小集》卷三○五、《沅湘耆旧集》前编卷二三小传。 刘翰诗，以毛晋汲古阁影宋《六十家集》本为底本。校以影印文渊阁《四库全书·两宋名贤小集》（简称名贤集），与新辑集外断句合编为一卷。刘翰做诗追随“四灵”，王渔洋《香祖笔记》对其评价不高。
