译文
庭院中有许许多多的杂树，却偏偏对梅花赞许感叹，请问你为何会如此？是因为它能在寒霜中开花，在寒露中结果实。那些只会在春风中摇荡，在春日里妩媚的，你一定会飘零在寒风中追逐，因为你徒有在寒霜中开花却没有耐寒的本质。

中庭：庭院中。
咨嗟：赞叹声。
君：指“偏为梅咨嗟”的诗人。这句是假托杂树的问话：你为什么单单赞赏梅花？
其：指梅。作花：开花。作实：结实。以下是诗人的回答。这二句是说梅花能在霜中开花，露中结实，不畏严寒。
尔：指杂树。霜华：霜中的花。华，同“花”。这三句是说杂树只能在春风中摇曳，在春日下盛开，有的虽然也能在霜中开花，却又随寒风零落而没有耐寒的品质。

梅花落鉴赏
《梅花落》厉汉乐府“横吹曲。鲍照沿用乐府旧题，创作了这首前所未见的杂言诗。
诗的起句开门见山：“中庭多杂树，偏为梅咨嗟。。这里的“杂树。和“梅”含有象征意义。杂树，“亦指世间悠悠者流”。即一般无节操的土大夫，梅，指节操高尚的旷达贤土。庭院中有各种树木，而诗人最赞赏的是梅花，观点十分鲜明。·
下面是诗人与杂树的对话。“问君何独然？。这句是假托杂树的问话：你为什么单单赞赏梅花呢？诗人答道，“念其霜中能作花，露中能作实。摇荡春风媚春曰，念尔零落逐寒风，徒有霜华无霜质。”“念其。之。其。，谓梅花；“念尔”之“尔”，谓杂树。全句意为，因梅花不畏严寒，能在霜中开花，露中结实，而杂树只能在春风中摇曳，桂春日下盛开，有的虽然也能在霜中开花，却又随寒风零落而没有耐寒的品质。在此，诗人将杂树拟人，并将它与梅花放在一起，用对比的方式加以描绘、说明，通过对耐寒梅花的赞美，批判了杂树的软弱动摇。两者在比较中得到鉴别，强化，可谓相得益彰。
本诗主要是托讽之辞，采用杂言，音节顿挫激扬，富于变化其一褒一贬，表现了诗人鲜明的态度。这与作者个人经历有着密切的关系。鲍照“家世贫贱。，(鲍照《拜侍郎上疏》)在宦途上饱受压抑。他痛恨门阀土族制度，对刘宋王朝的统治深为不满，因此，他那质朴的诗句申明确表示了对节操低下的士大夫的蔑视和对旷达之士的赞扬。这里还包含着寒士被压抑的义愤和对高门世族垄断政权的控诉。诗歌以充沛的气势，强烈的个性，明陕的语言，给读者以震撼。

鲍照（约415年～466年）南朝宋文学家，与颜延之、谢灵运合称“元嘉三大家”。字明远，汉族，祖籍东海（治所在今山东郯城西南，辖区包括今江苏涟水，久居建康（今南京）。家世贫贱，临海王刘子顼镇荆州时，任前军参军。刘子顼作乱，照为乱兵所杀。他长于乐府诗，其七言诗对唐代诗歌的发展起了很重要的作用。有《鲍参军集》。
