译文
弯曲的枯松倒挂在悬崖绝壁上，残留的片片晚霞和孤零的野鸭在天上一齐飘飞。四周围是数不尽的青山，一望无际的碧水，西风箫箫，天地间一派浓浓的秋意。静静的夜里 皎洁的月影映照着高挂云帆的船儿，载着我行舟在湘江上，恍如置身在画图之中。
注释
沉醉东风：曲牌名，南北曲兼有。北曲属双调，南曲属仙吕入双调。
绝壁：陡峭的山壁。
落残霞孤鹜齐飞：落霞与野鸭一起飞翔。残霞：落霞。鹜（wù）：野鸭。
不尽：数不完。
云帆：一片白云似的船帆。
潇湘画里：这里极言潇湘两岸的风景如画。

此曲作于元成宗大德三年（1299年），时卢挚在湖南宪使的任上，当时卢挚正在赴任途中，路经潇湘行舟，写下此曲。

沉醉东风·挂绝壁松枯倒倚鉴赏
“挂绝壁枯松倒倚。”首句描写悬崖之上一棵枯松倚绝壁而倒挂，既写出枯松的奇姿，又衬托出山势的险峻。作者放在小令的开头，使人有突兀不凡之感。”落残霞孤鹜齐飞。“写秋天傍晚江上明丽的景物。这两句刻意经营，本身极富形象感，又借得了名句所固有的审美效应，从而一上来便先声夺人，抓住了读者的注意力。
“四围不尽山”两句，是对前面两句所写景物的概括，也是在意象上的扩大和补充。前面两句是镜头各对准一个焦点，摄取最动人的画面，他们的景观是具体的，但却是定位的，是在某一个方向上。现在加上这两句，进一步扩大了读者的视野，使他们看到除了上面所写到的景物之外，四围还有数不尽的山，无穷的水。这种大笔勾勒似的写景，为下面写”秋意“作了心理上的铺垫。
“散西风满天秋意。”西风“无形，”秋意“无迹，然而又确实有”意“可感。这境界既有物境，也有心境。曲写至此，自成一段落，它把秋景、秋意都提供给读者了。但是如果曲子就到此结束，它还不过是一幅没有人物的静物画，而且构图不够多样与丰富。
“夜静云帆月影低，载我在潇湘画里。”静静的夜，静静的湘水，一只船，高挂着云帆，悠悠前进。“月影低”说明月亮才刚刚升起，它的清光投射在船帆上，使帆影显得低而且长。在这里，作者把自己摆进图画中，成为画面中的一员。人物出现，画面顿时活了起来。因为“云帆月影”的夜航点缀了清旷的江面，太富有画意了，而且地点正好在潇湘之上，就像一幅潇湘景物图一样，所以说“载我在潇湘画里”。
整首小令写的都是潇湘行舟所见。是按照时间顺序道来。作者的态度，更多的是冷静的观照二视野所及，潇湘两岸的山水风物，都使他感到心旷神怡；虽然两风的轻拂带来了满天的秋意，传统的季节感受，加上身在旅途，不能不使他产生微微的萧瑟之感；但因为他身为湖南宪使，也许是外出公干，也许就在赴任途中，所以心境是平静的。正因如此，我们获得了一幅气象阔大、意境飞动的秋光图。

卢挚（1242-1314），字处道，一字莘老；号疏斋，又号蒿翁。元代涿郡（今河北省涿县）人。至元5年(1268)进士，任过廉访使、翰林学士。诗文与刘因、姚燧齐名，世称“刘卢”、“姚卢”。与白朴、马致远、珠帘秀均有交往。散曲如今仅存小令。著有《疏斋集》（已佚）《文心选诀》《文章宗旨》,传世散曲一百二十首。有的写山林逸趣，有的写诗酒生活，而较多的是“怀古”，抒发对故国的怀念。今人有《卢疏斋集辑存》，《全元散曲》录存其小令。
