译文
我在云烟之外凭靠高楼眺望，略见远处灯光一亮一熄。向上跨越玉桥回到仙境去，看仙人居住洞天的星月。
当年汉张劭和范式情深谊笃流韵仍在，何况在乎那一杯美酒。不要过问政治大事和不值得一听的微小言论。
注释
烟外：云烟之外。危楼：高楼，这里代指临皋亭楼。
初见：刚刚看见，略略看见。明灭：一亮一熄。
却：向上，仰。玉虹：白玉般的桥。
洞天：仙人居住地。道教称神仙的居住处，意谓洞中别有天地。后人泛指风景胜地。星月：天上的星星和月亮。这里东坡暗指京城的美景或挚友。
当时：当年。张范：指张勋和范式，后人以此喻交情生死不渝。
尊：同”樽“，酒杯。浮雪：白酒。
剑头微吷（xuè）：喻微小、无足轻重。这里以剑环和剑首声喻微不足道的言论。

好事近·烟外倚危楼创作背景
这首《好事近》作于宋神宗元丰三年（1080年）五月谪居黄州时。作者刚从破庙定惠院迁居临皋亭。面对空旷的长江之夜，无限倜傥。从迷蒙的灯光中产生神话般的联想，作此词以解脱之。

好事近·烟外倚危楼鉴赏
上片，即景抒情，写自己的追求与愿望。“烟外倚危楼，初见远灯明灭”，写自己面临的处境；刚来一百多天的东坡，寄身于黄州的“烟外”“危楼”，人眼于京城的“远灯明灭”：出路何在，安慰哪寻，紧接着两句作了回答：“跨玉虹”到仙境去，“看洞天星月”。因为那里有美好的山光水色，有志同道合的朋友，如同“星月”一般。这是东坡摆脱愁闷的传统的妙方：在密州时，外任不悦，就想到“我欲乘风归去”；几年后被贬黄州，抑郁不平，又想到“羽化而登仙”。作者借仙境解脱之法，反映了他一种无可奈何的心境。
下片，引用史典，交友为寄，表达出他看穿现实的超然的人生态度。“当时张范风流在，况一尊浮雪”，以史为鉴，寻找寄托。汉人张劭与范式的刎颈之交的风流韵事，于作者来说不正存在。徐君猷、陈季常、孟亨之、李公择、杨世昌和王文甫兄弟等，不都是星月相伴、友谊长存。何况还有那珍贵的白酒作为媒体、作为沾合剂。“莫问世间何事，与剑头微映”，是作者此时此地世界观、人生观——对朋友乃至对世人的公然宣告：社会政治你不必过问，剑头微映你不必听从。你走你的路，让他人去说吧。不过这里要指出的是：作者并不是说“不要过问人世的事”，而是说不需要过问社会政治大事；东坡并不是说“不要过问听不清的话”，而是说不需要过问那微不足道的事。事实上，东坡对民族、对黎民百姓之事，甚至连推广秧马技术的事他都过问；对重男轻女的陋习，他大声呼喊，禁止溺婴。最后两句，言简意赅，含意深长。
这首词以描景与虚幻，现实与历史相融会的笔调，塑造了一位孤独缥缈不定，前途明灭无望，只有不问社会政治，羽化登仙，做张范式人物的隐士形象。文字洗炼，而寓意鲜明，是东坡运用幻想形式来隐示追求理想人生，富有特色的抒怀之作。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
