声声慢·寿魏方泉创作背景
据《吴郡志》：魏峻知平江府（即苏州），淳祐四年（1244甲辰）四月到任，六年（1246丙午）三月除刑部侍郎。盖秩满归朝而卒。梦窗此词在重到吴中作，时在公元1245年（淳祐五年），据夏承焘《吴梦窗系年》，当时词人四十六岁，故有“吴人有分”云。若按《水调歌头·赋方泉望湖楼》词的创作时间，则为其已至京师时矣。
声声慢·寿魏方泉鉴赏
“莺团”三句，点魏方泉寿诞在闰八月中。“重来两过中秋”，指这一年是闰八月。词人说：“黄莺儿在香橙林中来回盘旋飞翔，鲈鱼在莼叶飘浮的水波间不时出设。在这一年的闰八月中，我又度过了一次‘中秋节’。”“酒市”两句是说：“在渔村中的一个小酒店里，我们饮酒祝贺魏方泉的生日。习习金风迎面而来，这种无忧无虑自在的田园生活，真是比艳阳春天还要舒服啊。”“宿舂”两句，言舂米声从去年曾经居住过的一个村屋中传了出来，那里正在新炊黄粱，袅袅炊烟凝聚在西边田野的上空。“凤池去”三句是说：“到中书省任职的人选，相信还是吴中人氏符合条件。这个好机会，我看还是借给迟留至今尚无作为的寿星——魏方泉吧。”“凤池”，即凤凰池，中书省办公处。读者可从《水调歌头·赋魏方泉望湖楼》词中知道魏峻后来确已去了杭城并任刑部侍郎，可知现在已见端倪。
“应是”三句是说：“这里（指苏州）曾经是香山居士白居易在梦中再三求索的好地方，现在我继续着他的梦想，重新来到我的第二故乡——苏州，并且刻意追忆旧事，吟咏香艳句，对苏州作出大量记实性的诗词。”白居易曾作苏州刺史，吴文英又在苏州居住了十余年，所以有此说。“青鬓”两句。言青壮年时期，正是可以用来改天换地的打江山时期，也可以演出许多精彩的风流韵事，足可以流传千古。“围腰”两句是说：“魏方泉把寿宴安排在染有仙气的桂花树下，在月光溶溶之中，桂花香阵阵袭人，我们这些贺客就团聚在诱人的氛围中祝魏长寿。”“金粟”，桂花的别称。“夜宴久”两句，言寿宴至深夜才散，词人跌跌撞撞回转住地“画楼”，醉倚栏干，仰望秋空将秋夜白云尽收眼中。

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
