译文
漫长的白天官署无事文书清闲，还没有到中午官衙已散。一郡的居民二十万，天天报平安。秋粮夏税利利索索全团体赛。手执着花纹象笏，凭倚在琴堂书案，每日里眺望青山。
注释
于侯：一位姓于的地方官，侯为尊称。
簿书：官府文书。
咄嗟：呼吸之间，形容时间短暂。
花纹象简：刻花纹的象牙笏，官吏上朝或谒见上司时用。
琴堂：指县官的官署。
日日看青山：化用“拄笏看山”典故，喻做官而有闲情雅致。

乔吉(1280?～1345) 元代杂剧家、散曲作家。一称乔吉甫，字梦符，号笙鹤翁，又号惺惺道人。太原人，流寓杭州。钟嗣成在《录鬼簿》中说他“美姿容，善词章，以威严自饬，人敬畏之”，又作吊词云：“平生湖海少知音，几曲宫商大用心。百年光景还争甚？空赢得，雪鬓侵，跨仙禽，路绕云深。”从中大略可见他的为人。剧作存目十一，有《杜牧之诗酒扬州梦》、《李太白匹配金钱记》、《玉箫女两世姻缘》三种传世。
