满城灯市荡春烟，宝月沉沉隔海天。
看到六鳌仙有泪，神山沦没已三年！
三年此夕月无光，明月多应在故乡。
欲向海天寻月去，五更飞梦渡鲲洋。

译文
满城灯火荡漾着一片春烟，
天色阴沉，月亮隐在海天的那边。
看到鳌山灯彩，引起了仙人流泪，
海外的神山已经沉沦三年！
三年后的今夜天空不见月光，
美丽的月亮大概在台湾故乡。
想到海天之外去寻找明月，
半夜里做梦，神魂飞渡重洋。
注释
元夕：农历正月十五之夜。
六鳌句：鳌同鼇，《列子·汤问》：“龙伯之国有大人，一钓而连六鳌”，又《摭遗》：“李白自称海上钓鳌客，谒宰相问他：“先生临沧海，钓巨鳌，以何为钩线？”后来诗家就常用钓鳌客来比喻豪迈有为的人。这里借指鳌山，是把灯彩迭成山的形状；仙是作者自比，因看鳌山灯彩联想到后句的神山沦没而伤心流泪。
神山：《史记·秦始皇纪》：“海中有三神仙：蓬莱、方丈、瀛州，仙人居之”，这里指台湾岛。
五更：以前把一夜分成五更，一更大约两小时，此处指深夜。鲲洋：台湾南部有海口名七鲲身台湾岛，鲲洋，指台湾海峡。

丘逢甲(1864年～1912年）近代诗人。字仙根，又字吉甫，号蛰庵、仲阏、华严子，别署海东遗民、南武山人、仓海君。辛亥革命后以仓海为名。祖籍嘉应镇平（今广东蕉岭）。同治三年（1864年）生于台湾彰化，光绪十四年（1887年）中举人，光绪十五年登进士（1889年），授任工部主事。但丘逢甲无意在京做官返回台湾，到台湾台中衡文书院担任主讲，后又于台湾的台南和嘉义教育新学。
