常年六月六，暑气何其酷。犬有吐舌烦，猫得负背燠。
今日胡不然，萧然凉气足。阳乌潜其辉，小雨时霢霂。
重袂犹未温，浴了肌起粟。老病固宜然，壮者亦不浴。
短至未及间，秋阴如许毒。本朝王火德，德与尧运续。
文明耀四海，年世不待卜。吾君乾六龙，刚健粹如玉。
吾相泰九二，夬夬出苋陆。君臣德既同，讵有此阴伏。
吾闻氛气恶，杀气盛西北。襄城既失守，生灵烂鱼肉。
匹夫尚怀忧，知此妄屠戮。臣固告上天，忍泪不敢哭。
愿言扫阴邪，日月舜耳目。中国盛阳明，从今调玉烛。

生于宋光宗绍熙三年，卒于度宗咸淳九年，年八十三岁。宝庆二年，（公元一二二六年）第进士，授浏阳主簿。累迁太子左庶子，太子詹事，敷陈经义，随事启迪。景定三年，（公元一二六二年）春雷，诏求直言。经孙奏年来忠谠之气，郁不得行，上帝降鉴，假雷以鸣。人谓切中时病。累官翰林学士知制诰。公田议起，经孙极论不便，忤贾似道，罢归。家在洪、抚之间，有山方正，因号矩山。闲居十余年，卒。谥文惠。经孙作有《矩山存稿》五卷，《四库总目》传于世。
