余家久住山，早已离城市。草屋有三间，一间长丈二。
一间安葛五，一间尘六四。余家自内房，终日閒无事。
昨因黑月二十五，初夜饮酒醉。两人相浑杂，种种调言气。
余家不奈烦，放火烧屋积。葛五成灰烬，尘六无一二。
有物荡净尽，惟馀空闲地。自身赤裸裸，体上无衣被。
更莫忧盗贼，逍遥安乐睡。一等被火烧，同行不同利。

庞蕴（生卒不详） 字道玄，又称庞居士，唐衡阳郡（今湖南省衡阳市）人。禅门居士，被誉称为达摩东来开立禅宗之后“白衣居士第一人”，素有“东土维摩”之称。有关他的公案时见于禅家开示拈提中，以作为行者悟道的重要参考。其传世的偈颂（迄今流传近200首）以模拟佛经偈语的风格，殷殷嘱咐学佛者修行的依归，在唐朝白话诗派中以其重于说理为一特点。至于他和女儿灵照游戏自在的情节，配合其诗偈中全家习禅的描述，不仅成为后代佛门居士向往的模范，也转而成为戏曲宝卷文学着墨的题材。
