张柬之（625年－706年），字孟将，汉族，唐朝襄州襄阳人。唐朝名相，诗人。张柬之中进士后任清源丞。689年以贤良征试，擢为监察御史。后出任合州、蜀州刺史、荆州长史等职。狄仁杰向武则天举荐，武则天提升为洛州司马。不数日，狄仁杰再荐之，称其“可为宰相，非司马也。”遂得以升为秋官侍郎，过了一段时间又得姚崇推荐，于是升任宰相。神龙元年（705年）正月，张柬之与桓彦范、敬晖等乘武则天病发动政变，复辟唐朝。因功擢天官尚书，封汉阳郡公，后升为汉阳王。不久，遭武三思排挤，被流放边疆。张柬之被流放泷州，气愤致死。时年八十二岁。
