陆坚，河南洛阳人。善书，初为汝州参军，再迁通事舍人，以给事中兼学士。初名友悌，明皇嘉其刚正，更赐名。为中书舍人，以集贤学士供儗太厚，议白罢之。张说曰：“丽正乃天子礼乐之司，所费细而所益者大。陆生之言，盖未达耶。”帝知，遂薄坚。
