宇闰枝，晚号闰庵。出身书香世家。光绪壬午举人，壬辰进士，翰林院编修。戊戌、癸卯两充会试同考官，庚子、辛丑简任四川、广东乡试副主考。丁末，出任浙江湖州知府。民国初，夏应聘入都，纂修清史稿。徐世昌辑清儒学案、晚晴簃诗汇，夏孙桐曾主其事。夏是近代著名词人，著有悔龛词。诗作有观所尚斋诗存。享年八十五岁（一八五七—一九四二）。
