释宝昙（一一二九～一一九七），字少云，俗姓许，嘉定龙游（今四川乐山）人。幼习章句业，已而弃家从一时经论老师游。后出蜀，从大慧于径山、育王，又从东林卐庵、蒋山应庵，遂出世，住四明仗锡山。归蜀葬亲，住无为寺。复至四明，为史浩深敬，筑橘洲使居，因自号橘洲老人。宁宗庆元三年示寂，年六十九（本集卷一○《龛铭》）。昙为诗慕苏轼、黄庭坚，有《橘洲文集》十卷。《宝庆四明志》卷九有传。 宝昙诗，以日本东山天皇元禄十一年戊寅织田重兵卫仿宋刻本（藏日本内阁文库）为底本。集外诗附于卷末。
