人生贵知足，知足可免辱。世故多变幻，寻思徒碌碌。
我有三亩园，窗前万层绿。花开听客来，恶客折花秃。
书画盈几案，灿燃森寒玉。豪客托题咏，假去何时复。
遣兴好涂抹，奇峰常一缩。随意应人徵，无端遭谤毒。
兵荒交困至，岂忍见飞镞。略一为之力，伧父群侧目。
或讥余避客，客至只看竹。高轩或不辞，又哂集华毂。
动辄受人咎，世事真闪倏。心直易见尤，心曲增蜷局。
咄哉尔毋痴，反躬当检束。毁誉不可辨，流俗任反覆。
息嚣时闭户，交游谢徵逐。同志莫生疑，聊尔好幽独。
适性夫何求，优游惟独乐。独乐乐难支，有时生感触。

字以和，号寄舫，以同知分发浙江不赴。秉性恬憺，收藏书法名画，精于鉴别，喜山水，得元人超逸之致，筑别业于宅畔，名曰“适园”，园中画室曰“易画轩”，与人约画者，必以颂诗相易，一时四方名人投赠，题赠诗文成编行世。平日以书画吟咏自娱。著有《适园自娱草》。子羲唐丙戌进士，工部主事。
