刘泾（1043？～1100？）字巨济，号前溪，简州阳安（今四川简阳）人。熙宁六年（1073）进士。为太学博士。元符末，官至职方郎中。米芾、苏轼之书画友。苏轼答刘泾诗云：“细书千纸杂真行。”鲜于伯机藏杂帖一册，内有刘泾墨帖一纸。善作林石槎竹，笔墨狂逸，体制拔俗。亦工墨竹，以圆笔作叶，成都太智院法堂有松竹画壁各一堵。卒年五十八。《宋史本传、画继、东坡集、云烟过眼录、图绘宝鉴》
