古士不◇出，百年犹比肩。
区区彼江西，其产多材贤。
吴生初自疑，所拟岂其伦。
我始见曾子，文章初亦然。
昆仑倾黄河，渺漫盈百川。
决疏以道之，渐敛收横澜。
东溟知所归，识路到不难。
吴生始见我，袖藏新文篇。
忽从布褐中，百宝写我前。
明珠杂玑贝，磊砢或不圆。
问生久怀此，奈何初无闻。
吴生不自隐，欲吐羞俛颜。
少也不自重，不为乡人怜。
中虽知自悔，学问苦贱贫。
自谓久而信，力行困弥坚。
今来决疑惑，幸冀蒙洗湔。
我笑谓吴生，尔其听我言。
世所谓君子，何异於众人。
众人为不善，积微成灭身。
君子能自知，改过不逡巡。
惟於斯二者，愚智遂以分。
颜回不贰过，後世称其仁。
孔子过而更，日月披浮云。
子路初来时，鸡冠佩豭豚。
斩蛟射白额，後卒为名臣。
子既悔其往，人谁御其新。
丑夫祀上帝，孟子岂不云。
临行赠此言，庶可以书绅。

欧阳修（1007－1072），字永叔，号醉翁，晚号“六一居士”。汉族，吉州永丰（今江西省永丰县）人，因吉州原属庐陵郡，以“庐陵欧阳修”自居。谥号文忠，世称欧阳文忠公。北宋政治家、文学家、史学家，与韩愈、柳宗元、王安石、苏洵、苏轼、苏辙、曾巩合称“唐宋八大家”。后人又将其与韩愈、柳宗元和苏轼合称“千古文章四大家”。
