傅察（1089—1126）字公晦，孟洲济源（今属河南）人，北宋中书侍郎傅尧俞重孙。端重有操，为文温丽，遇事若无所可否，非其意萃然不可犯。徽宗崇宁五年（1106）进士，蔡京欲妻以女，拒弗答。曾任青州司法参军、永平、淄川丞，太常博士，兵部、吏部员外郎。宣和七年（1125）冬，接伴金国贺正旦使，道逢金太子斡离不，令下拜，抗辩不屈而死，谥忠肃。事迹见《宋史·忠义本传》。
