昔日羊城彭伯时，孤高不与俗人宜。心慕龙眠李居士，下笔独能追似之。
细从尺幅具毫发，千里烟岚生几榻。忽然苍莽作寒林，古劲森森间疏密。
高岸嶭巀侵云汉，飞瀑临溪若倾勃。自疑天趣有神助，却是精思得古法。
解衣盘礴意殊闲，惨澹经营数刻间。床头一尊使长满，户外万事愁不关。
当路贵人索不得，乐与故旧开心颜。酒酣舒啸调墨汁，往往好为平远山。
国初宋元临摹遍，唐朝五代相追攀。平生淡泊寡人事，说著时名恒掩耳。
富室豪门避若仇，时向僧房留片纸。怜予少年好文翰，与予故居幸同里。
过门辄唤春共酌，忘年之交但汝尔。间世家珍肆欣赏，不逆于心笑相视。
秋舫为予效李唐，又效王蒙秋山寺。别为人物皆奇绝，即写鸭鸡尤尽致。
才高行峻世无双，气和貌古堪心醉。一从离乱各纷飞，便向深山咏采薇。
身藏名亦俱欲泯，颇闻病眚掩双扉。燕子不归裘马巷，鲤鱼曾到钓鱼矶。
春晴曝画山窗下，看题岁月偏惊诧。十载离思转盼间，旧游追忆多彫谢。
君如松柏长青青，何日重逢倒玉瓶。任永冯信曾洗盥，世平目清应改观。
此意悠悠谁可论，卷藏日昃空长叹。

薛始亨（一六一七-一六八六），字刚生，号剑公，别署甘蔗生、二樵山人。顺德人。明思宗崇祯间诸生。少与屈大均同学于岭南名儒陈邦彦。明亡后，始亨与大均同弃诸生，不复仕进，隐于草莽。国乱，寓于羊城，后返龙江。年五十出游于罗浮、西樵间。后入罗浮山为道士。年七十而卒。著有《蒯缑馆十一草》、《南枝堂稿》。清陈伯陶编《胜朝粤东遗民录》卷二有传。薛始亨诗，以何氏至乐楼丛书本《南枝堂稿》为底本，参校中山图书馆所藏民国蔡氏手抄本，叶恭绰校香山莫氏片玉书斋本（简称片玉斋本）。
