[约公元一一0一年前后在世]字承之，卫城人。生卒年均不详，约宋徽宗建中靖国初前后在世。工诗，才气飘逸，记问精博。自号苇溪翁。元佑间进士。绍圣中，登宏词科。宣和中，以右文殿修撰，知邓州。召为太府卿。尝往来大名、真定间，与苏轼、王安石诸人交好，相与酬倡，故所作具有门迳，能力追古人。鼎臣本著有文集一百二十卷，其孙纲立刊於复州，至四十卷而止。今则仅存竹隐畸士集二十卷，《四库总目》系辑搜所成。
